JP and Rivas keeping the infield afloat. Both have insane OBP. I wonder if Locklear gets called up.

This is fun. I'm having fun watching the M's play baseball. Didn't think I'd say that when we were sitting at 3-7.

Since then? Best record in baseball.

This team is giving me a real lift in the shorts, banging the ball like that. Good god, Mariners, I WANT TO BELIEVE!!!

On paper, this is a lights out baseball team and they're finally getting the win column to align with expectations.

Was wondering if/when they would move JP to lead off. The way he's been banging the ball it's a pretty good way to open the game. I never cared for Julio at leadoff. He needs to stay at 2/3 where he gets up with a man on more often.

Nice win again.

The Angels were brutal in the field today. And I hope Mike Trout isn't hurt--he got taken out of the game after beating out that throw to first base.

Tyler Locklears 2025 stats

AB R H HR RBI SB Avg OBP OPS
9712322165.330.414.919

Looks like he is ready to me.

I am really liking Rivas, he is a OBP machine. Not much pop but he is constantly on base. JP looks good hitting lead off. I really like Rivas at 9 and JP at 1. Lots of opportunities for the mashers.

Yep, I've been saying I'd like to see JP in the lead off spot for a week or two now. He was damn good leading off for pretty much all of the 2023 season.

Hopefully I'll be able to catch the last few innings when they show the replay. Been missing a lot more games than in years past so far this season.

The M's flat out need to make a trade. Period. These injuries are just piling up.

Thank god the wins are too.
No need for a panic trade that takes one of our 9 top 100 MLB prospects.
We got all we need coming up, Taylor did just fine (both Taylor's)

I guess. These injuries are making me nervous. And if we lose Kirby or Logan for much longer, not sure we have to pitching to make up for it. They are 2 of the better pitchers in baseball.
I get what you're saying though. Been very happy with Williamson, he's here to stay.

Apparently Trout hurt his knee, but saying it isn't serious.

After the game, Angels manager Ron Washington told reporters that Trout had felt some soreness in his knee when he stepped on first base and the team removed him from the game as a precaution. Trout then told reporters that the knee is already feeling better, and that he's hoping to suit up for Thursday's game, per Jeff Fletcher of the SoCal News Group.

I think this year, I finally just stepped back and realized I have no control over it. There are enough crappy things going on in the world these days. Just gonna' enjoy baseball. And NO that doesn't mean I'm ok with not winning the whole damn thing. I just grew tired of my own whining and negativity. It's entertainment, hopefully they shock us and make a deep playoff run. I understand why people assume the worst, I've been guilty of it, often. Just a waste of energy. Maybe I just appreciate things more these days.
Are they going to piss me off? Often. But I'm just not gonna' live in that "everything sucks" mode. I have enough friends who already do that.

Yeah, let's enjoy this run. I agree with @SoulfishHawk. You might as well enjoy it now because dark days will come. How can you not enjoy 14-4?

Side note, I need to give credit where it's due. I wasn't that impressed with Dan Wilson. With these injuries they're dealing with, he's doing a hell of a job to keep this thing rolling. It's almost as if a former MLB player might know more than an out of shape dude on a keyboard.

Keep it rolling, Dan.
