Typical .net stuff. Clamor endlessly for a QB in the draft and whine and complain when they pick one.

While I was not one of those that was "clamoring endlessly" for a QB in the draft, I feel like being a good passer of the football is kind of an important trait for a QB.

I'm not pissed or anything. It's a late-ish 3rd round pick. Not a huge deal to me. I just think the chances that he ever becomes a good passer in the NFL are pretty slim. I wonder how many guys have ever gone from being a mediocre at best passer in college to being a good passer in the NFL? I could be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if that number is zero.

Olu hasn’t even had enough time to judge him fairly. For all the people screaming about Wilson being the best center in the draft, Olu was the best center in the nation when we selected him and has the trophy to prove it.

Relax..
Yeah, let's not give Jared Wilson the Creed Humphrey treatment just yet.

Not the hugest fan of this pick based on what I've heard about his locker room antics.

I could see us keeping three QBs on the roster and having him fulfill other duties as a slasher kind of player. I could see him do some RB and receiver duties ala Taysom Hill, while he is learning QB.

Everyone butthurt about this pick just need to realize he'll contribute more than Dee Eskridge ever did
I wouldn't be surprised if he had more receiving yards than Eskridge ever did here just in year one, while being a QB at that.

He’ll bring some excitement on gadget plays and learn behind Darnold for a couple seasons.

I really don’t understand the negativity here. If he sucks, then it’s a wasted third round pick, which really isn’t that big of a deal. If he turns out to be a legit starter with raw potential who can be coached, then this is a huge win.

Don’t get the whining.

Can you read NFL defenses? Probably not. But you are probably better at it than Milroe. Even so, his terrible ability to assess and react to defenses, his piss poor accuracy, and all the rest...aren't the main problem.

The problem is that he is a massive risk.

The stuff I was hearing about what was going on at Bama? Probably worse than anything I have ever heard about a QB in college, with the exception of someone doing SA/hard R, or the dogfighting thing.

You kept hearing about how the locker room was completely divided, with those supporting Milroe and pressuring others to do so, and the schism with those who resisted.

The odd thing is that it isn't clear Milroe is the one responsible for some of the terrible stuff going on off-field regarding this. But his camp was either involved, or HE was orchestrating what those people were doing. Either way, big risk. Big red flag.

Risks for upside don't make sense here. Even if you convert him into a RB, WR, or defensive player - you are still dealing with someone, maybe in Milroe himself - conducting himself in way that can destroy a team.

Is it just a rumor from Bama? Maybe. But I heard it from enough people over there to give it credence, ESPECIALLY because if true then it given Kalen a huge excuse. And frankly, the people at Bama are livid with Kalen. It isn't likely they all started supporting a rumor that defends him.

The downside here is bad. The upside is maybe moving him to another position. Is that worth it?

Yeah...."Funny".
A very "expensive" funny.. ung... he wont beat out Darnold on year one..... but can press him in year two I believe... I still see him as a year three starter with Darnold going the way side with the contract... who knows or we just wasted a third round pick... but Based on the three we already got.. I am very happy
