Pete's draft clues sucked. They never made any sense and I don't think he ever bothered to explain them after the fact. Besides, when you're always picking in the 20s, there's no way of knowing who will still be available. I think he was trolling all along.

His clues were vague enough to cover a wide array of scenarios. This left the readers to guess after the fact how they fit. Honestly though with Pete and John there was such a car and mouse game going on that it sometimes made it easier to figure out who they were going for by looking at who was the best player available was that fit the scheme who they didn’t to talk about
