To answer my own question though, I think they would have both stood up half the time, Kam 1/4 of the time would get a real big hit on DK and DK would find times to take cheap shots at Kam and make them beef all practice.

No, If Kam got cheap shotted, Sherman, Earl, and Browner along with Bennett, Wagner and Avril would have chewed him up, that team had each others back, Hell Lynch would have been all over him also.

I can't see DK cheap shotting his own teammate. He's a guy who always has his teammates' backs.
Ultimately, yes Kam would win a hitting contest, as he would against any offensive player, and if they were matched up in coverage, DK would absolutely leave Kam in his dust.

If DK could get his release yes, before the rules changed he would never get off the line if matched up with either Browner or Kam.

Kam was able to play up on the line because he knew Earl was back there to pick up his slack if he couldn't keep the guy in place. I'm skeptical that he was lined often where DK would usually be anyway. I can't imagine our DC would have thought that was a good idea.
