The writer did say that he spoke “glowingly” of the new staff, and by “implication”, “seemed” to trash PC.

Still a matter of interpretation by the writer. He at least doesn’t try to hide the fact that this is his opinion of what was said and what it meant.

“Clickbait bullshit” is the world we live in today.

Fact is, cancel culture is a real thing and even sports figures need to be careful what they actually say, implying something makes much more sense than outright saying it.
I’d suggest reading between the lines is fair on something like this, and a gain of salt goes a long ways. Tis the reason I wrote “eyebrow raising”.

I agree. The article in the Athletic was much more objective, written like articles should be wrote. Take a look at the last paragraph in the article and the word I highlighted in bold:

“I expect a good playoff run,” said Nwosu, who expects to be healthy and ready for training camp. “We’ve been close the last two years. I feel like it’s time to really get over that hump. We’ve got all the players. I feel like we’ve got the right coaches now. These coaches seem committed, they’re really putting in the time and effort so far, and that’s what you want to see from a staff. (I expect) a deep playoff run this year. We got all the pieces, it’s just time to put it together.”

That one word, "now", was pounced on by the author in the OP and he used it to put such a spin on it that he had his readers thinking that Nwosu felt that Pete Carroll was trash.

When asked if he supports the new coaching staff Nwosu said he does which means that he did not support the prior coaching staff and thinks they were garbage.

Ya. The audience is always half the text, you know? People usually get out of things what they want to get out of them. And if they can't, they dismiss it.

And I’d say that quote adds a little credence to the piece I posted vs takes anything away.

Again, the player is smart enough not to be blunt but he says enough that people should be able to understand what his stance is.

Have no problem with his opinion of the coaching staff, but he should own them and not put them on Nwosu. As he even says, Nwosu doesn't talk a lot, but know there will people that might have some question for him. Stirred things up a bit for him.

Even if you take Nwosu's comments to the extreme, his point is that sometimes change can bring out the best in people. And given the author has pumped out eight new articles in 2 days (all of questionable quality), I think it's fair to assume he's not making an honest inference on Nwosu's intentions and instead making crap up wholesale for clicks.

The author's problem is a confusion between Nwosu implying something and the author inferring something. The author inferred what he wrote in the article. Nwosu implied nothing of the sort.

In any event, I tend to agree with Nwosu. The team now has the right coaches. I can’t wait to see the new look on defense.

“We have the right coaches now” can be interpreted as an implication that “We didn’t have the right coaches until now.”

The most interesting thing in The Athletic article is that all the basketball stuff has been removed from the training facility. I guess the messages is “Boys, we’re here to play football.”

What the hell do people expect these players to say, I mean hey, they have a brand-new HC, DC, OC and a bunch of new faces that they're not going to try and make the transition as positive as they can?
I expect that Mike Macdonald is head & shoulders better at Defensive scheming than Clint Hurtt, so why wouldn't Nwasu be embracing the possibility of a more positive change.
Seems pretty obvious that this Author (probably not a big Pete Carroll/Clint Hurtt fan) was putting HIS TAKE on this article.
I'm seeing more & more reason why Marshawn Lynch didn't want to talk to these Click Bait story twisters.

My favorite part of this article is how it ensures I will never click anything from 12thmanrising again.

As far as the content of the article, Nwosu seems to prefer Macdonald to Clint Hurtt. I don't think there is a football fan that would disagree with him.
