NT Johnathan Hankins expected to sign

6' 2" and 320 lbs wide body. All last year we clamored for a big body to clog up the middle, and finally we have one. At age 32, I'm not sure how much he has left in the tank, but you can never have too many big men to rotate in the middle of the line. Last year, he played 351 snaps, or 40% of the defensive plays.

In the meanwhile, Mario Edwards signed with Houston, so that front 7 is going to look very different this year.

While I question the quality of some of our signings I like the way they are building depth for needs, freeing us up to work at BPA with draft choices. I see Clowney Appears to have agreed to terms with the Jets, so I sure hope Taylor comes through with big improvement this year.

Too bad our cap space wasn't 300 million, we could sign at least 10 stars that were well known, seems like a lot of people look at fantasy these days rather than reality, it's called building a roster for a reason, otherwise it would be called an all-star roster. Many forget nobody knew who the hell Sherman, Baldwin, Kam, Browner, Clemons, Bennett and others were till we gave them their chance let alone guys like Largent, Eugene Robinson, Michael Sinclair, Porter, Fredd Young, were.

More beef up front. So to speak.

Agreed.

MM could take the exact same personnel from last year's team and improve that unit. Clint Hurtt was a horrible idea. Pete Carroll hiring him showed a lack of judgement

Hurt was just one choice in a long line of bad choices that, among other things, contributed to Pete losing his job. You eliminate half of those things and there is probably still 4 times what was needed to justify moving on.

OK, can we talk some more about Hankins now? What do people see in his past play that he will bring to the Hawks D? How much salary cap are we using on him? How much do people think he has left in the tank?
