Watson has settled out of court 20 of the 24 civil charges against him:

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has reached an agreement to settle 20 of the 24 civil lawsuits that had been filed by women who accused him of sexual assault and harassment.

They're planning on taking the remaining four to trial:

Buzbee (Watson's lawyer) said he plans on taking the four lawsuits that weren’t settled to trial.

Should be interesting.

The league and arbitrator were going to try to come to a decision on Watson's suspension by the start of training camp. Well, we're here as veterans report today and full practices start Wednesday.

IMO we can look at this as one would view a jury trial. As a general rule, if a jury is handed a case and comes back with a decision quickly, it usually means a conviction. If they stay out for days, it means that an acquittal or hung jury is more likely. So, if we don't hear anything by the end of this week, it's my opinion that the league will not get the indefinite suspension that they are seeking.

Anyone want to take me up on a gentleman's bet?
