    Of course not. First off, Bosa and Verse aren't equivalent. I don't think there was a trade the 49ers would have done that could match what the Rams gave up. Browns wanted a young pass rusher as a "replacement". Niners didn't have that.

    I get it, but Stafford is 38. My point is that all in moves with a 38 year old QB and that QB gets hurt... ...ouch. Brock is only 26 and has quite a few more years ahead of him. I'm not selling it as a bad move as lord know I'd be ecstatic if the Niners had traded for him, but its a bit risky...

    Honest reaction? Well....damn. That sucks. All in for this year I guess....but "All-In" moves seldom work. More power to em I guess, but if Stafford gets hurt, its a bad move for them. Obviously thats true for all QBs, but thats alot to give up.

    He's not getting a pay raise. In fact his cap number drops by 20 mil this year. What he did get was another year and more guaranteed $$$.

    I mean they are actually SAVING money on this deal vs the cap. 20 Mil this year. Even if he's not the same player, he was due to be like 37 mil on the cap even if he wasn't on the roster.
