I rate him. I think his biggest weakness is Oline evaluations. Especially at guard and center. Jury is still out on his trades but I need to see going forward how much of that was Pete- Jimmy Graham, Harvin, Adams weren't great and expensive. Lynch was a home run.
I feel football'd out after the super bowl to be honest then get then get excited about it come training camp and preseason when I want to see the new players.
I love the distinct seasons that American sports kind of have- baseball means the beginning of spring/summer, football= fall...
Hasn't it been alluded to that Holmgren and Huard fell out or something. Salk mentioned that Holmgren tried to ruin his career randomly but didn't give any context to it.
In a power 2 conference, not a ton of pressure really compared to the East coast or USC. Basically be competitive in the new conference and try get into a NY6 bowl over the next few years. Shore up in state recruiting with the aim of poaching California and Hawaii talent.
In basketball, just...
Petersen is still around though which I suppose is good. It's been hinted that he still has some influence behind the scenes. He just seems absolutely jaded with the state of college football to want to coach in it.
Guessing with DeBoer it was a once in a lifetime type opportunity. I doubt a...
They should declare it and if any make the hall of fame in baseball or football just have an Asterix beside it or a separate category. Still think it's a joke the likes of Barry Bonds aren't in it. They were the best players of their day, people paid to see them, teams/the league made money from...
I feel this off season in particular he seems to get some intel. Not sure from who but there's been a couple of players we've signed that he'd brought up before that weren't exactly household names. I sometimes wonder if at times they get told stuff to gauge the reaction of the fanbase in...
I don't think this is far fetched. A lot of times people are taking them to heal up rather than for an edge. Baseball was at it's best when people took them. Even Messi took them legally as a kid.
If it's managed correctly it expands the limits of what humans can do.
After 5 months. Seems like it was a bad fit. Seems like a bit of a mess between this, DeBoer leaving and having to look for a mens basketball coach. Fisch better be good.
They probably need someone from the west coast who isn't likely to bail
