    After listening to the Seahawks final post draft press conference, it sounds like Barner was hand pick by Coach Macdonald. It seems like JS let Mike lean into our picks in the 4th round. I thought our 4th round picks were a bit of reach, but if those were Mike's guys, then it makes more sense.

    I'm also not a fan of this pick. It feels like a reach, to me, at a position of need. But Mike Macdonald wants to "build a wall up the middle" and Knight is very good at slipping block to get to the ball carrier. He looks more like a drag down tackler as opposed to a big hitter.     Pick #16 - DT Byron Murphy

    Murphy is the best DT in the draft. He is not the best pass rushing DT in the draft, that goes to Florida State DT Braden Fiske. But Murphy is still a very disruptive DT and a much better run stopper than Fiske. I think Murphy will be a stud playing DE on our defense.

    Maelstrom Mock 2024: Welp, Here Ya Go

    I like the pick of Chop in the late 1st, although I do think he is a boom-or-bust prospect. I think we have the coaching staff that could scheme him to be successful. If we go OLB in the late 1st then for me it's Marshawn Kneeland or Chop Robinson. Nice mock!

    The day before.....WHO will they pick first?

    After a trade down from #16 in the 1st round...DT/DE Braden Fiske. He is crazy athletic, productive, non-stop motor, and great team guy. I think teammates will gravitate towards him because of his non-stop motor on the field and his authentic personality.

    My final 2024 Seahawks mock draft

    Talk to JS about it!!! I have similar thoughts on not prioritizing IOL. I tend to do Seahawks mocks on JS past draft tendencies. I'm not going to put up a final mock that doesn't align with how JS drafts.

    I guess my theme is Big dudes...with athleticism, and good college production. Fix pass rush, run defense, and run blocking. With a side of upside at TE, S, and ILB.
