I was watching a rerun of a game from last season and the color analyst mistakenly uttered “Seahacks” and quickly corrected himself. I don’t think it was on purpose but boy did it trigger me.

At this point, honestly none of it bothers me even a lick. It just makes me dismiss what they're about to say (unless it's a compliment!) It's the same way that I don't use derogatory names for the 49ers or Rams, really. Now, the color analyst would be a bit different than a message board rando, though.

It's so old and lame, I just laugh every time. I do see people calling them the shec**ks a lot.
How original. Hope they enjoy seeing us put up another banner.

SeaChickens has been around for decades. Not even a mild burn. I remember when I had my first beer.

It's not cool or creative like The Clams or Santa Clara 29ers.

None of it bothers me at all...in fact, as others have stated, it gives us some relevance. I mean do we see anybody calling the cards names, LOL.

I do see a difference between fans, msg boards, and even podcasts vs. radio/tv announcers saying it. It still doesn't bother me, but I do believe those people should stay and be held to a higher standard.

Yeah, annoying because it's so lame and used up. Seachickens? Corny.
Being hated rocks. 4 SB's in 20 years, 2 rings. By FAR the best success in the NFC west since they were added.
Hate, hate, hate..........

They call them Seachickens, I call them Super Bowl Champions.

Don't really care if it is from a fan. You know that comes from something between white hot hate and respectful chiding. Not much to worry about.

Hearing it from a broadcaster, though, that's a different story. No place for it from the booth, although I remember being amused when Boomer did it. 🤷‍♂️

Dang, that really does sound impressive. Four Super Bowl appearances in 20 years under 3 head coaches. What an organization.

None of it bothers me, I don't even think about it when I hear it. It's sports trash-talk, no harm. I'm just at a point where I don't take sports/entertainment that seriously. It's all fun and games to me.

I think Clams is perfect. Coach McSpikeyhair, Coach McCrybaby, Coach Mc2pointconversion.
I'm gonna' go ahead and say those are great.

And I think my geNO nicknames are underrated. And cringy at the same time.

As they should be.

It doesn't bother me like it used to. SeaChickens just ruffled my feathers somethin' fierce but back then we were the red-headed step child of the NFL so I had a lot of insecurity back then defending my tribe. Now days, it's literally comical.

That's exactly it. That name sucked........when the team sucked. Fortunately, they've been very successful for quite a while now.
Niners fans have always been delusional, but all 73 Clams fans have taken over.
