My theory is that they may feel comfortable using one or two draft picks next year on injured players with very high upside that slip through the cracks like they did with Rylie Mills.

So with John Schneider's penchant for wheeling and dealing, and using Seahawks' 2026 draft as the basis:

4 picks -> 8 picks via trades = multiplier of 2

Using that same multiplier in the 2027 draft: 12 picks * 2 -> 24 picks via trades

HOLY MOLY, THAT MEANS WE'LL HAVE 24 PICKS IN 2027!

Someone with access and knowledge re: draft value charts, I wonder what the "value" of the 12 picks are and how JS might juggle.

What and how many round 1 picks could he collect? What about collecting equal picks in each round? What are the longest gaps between picks? Those that are more knowledgeable about 27s draft class, would it make sense to trade up or back and why/where/for what positions...?

Having lots of picks is awesome. We seem to have some really smart draft people/members here and I'm really interested in their opinions given a new 3rd.

From a trade value perspective that projected compensatory 3rd round pick in 2027 would be worth about 100 Draft chart points. It's about the same value as the combined value of the 4 projected compensatory picks in 2027 for players lost in 2026 free agency. For more perspective the #32 overall pick used on RB Price was worth about 590 points. Extra picks are nice but no-one likes to lose quality staff to a competitor.

Acquiring another 1st round pick in next year's draft would consume a lot of our draft capitol, assuming that we will be picking last in each round (Seahawks in Super Bowl again).

With this new additional 3rd round pick I find it much more likely for JS to trade for Browns DE Myles Garrett. I'm not saying he is going to trade for him, but that is more probable with this new draft capital.

I think we could acquire Myles Garrett for our 1st, 3rd, 4th round picks in 2027 and our 1st round pick in 2028. That would still leave us with our 2nd round, 3rd round comp, four 5th round picks, 6th round pick, and two 7th round picks. We would still have enough picks to reload the roster and there should be some fun defensive players available for us to draft.

Using some of our draft capital to acquire Myles Garrett makes so much sense, and the price of four picks across '27 and '28 to get him would be awfully tempting for the Browns. Would it really require all that -- a couple other picks in addition to two firsts? Regardless, we might miss having the 1st round pick in 2028, so would need to be smart with the remaining 9 picks of 2027, and whatever we'll have in 2028, to prepare/compensate for that.

Picking a cultural integrator is hard. Guessing a replacement integrator as an outsider is difficult to impossible.

Considering how far down in the pic list we are likely to be I could see, and welcome, leverageing some of our extra later round picks to move up in the order and/or acquiring more than one first rounder.

One thing I could see that no one is talking about is Teasley trading for Jalen Milroe next season especially if Kyler Murray kind of works out for them. Milroe seems like a bigger, stronger, more athletic version of Murray with less baggage and more football discipline. Milroe might not be the better passer yet but he still has a lot of room for growth.
