Theres actually a lot of good veterans still available but keeping it pass rush specific while I want Clowney because his run defense is probably the best of the bunch I’ll take Fowler: 24 sacks last 4 years, 30 pressures with a solid 14.1 pass rush win rate in 2025. And he’s probably the cheapest of the edge rushers and familiarity with both Durde and Lawrence, so him likely wanting to play for us is true. And this cool because a lot of these guys will likely chase the biggest bag and go through the motions, Fowler might just want to help win another bowl. Self motivation is underrated.

And Bobby Wagner: 16 sacks last 4 years, 20 pressures out of 77 pass rush snaps in 2025, dont think he qualified for pass rush win rate metrics but if Im doing my math right its 25.9%. I think he was PFF’s 2nd highest graded ILB pass rusher behind our own Tyrice Knight. More importantly I think he could also do some edge work compared to a lot of the prospects in this draft while 6’0, he has longer arms than most of the prospects Im guessing but his WS is probably around 81-82. And even if you handicap like -.10s due to his age thats still a 1.67 10 yard split which seems on par with a lot of these prospects but they also dont have his vast wealth of knowledge and experience that makes him an immediate contributor rather than a rookie on a learning curve. Wagner amongst other reasons would be a sneakily great addition for depth at all LBer positions as well as have a crucial role in jumbo packages but more importantly is his pass rush refinement and production has just been high quality the last 4 years.

There’s a lot of vet defensive ends still…. Cool how every year there’s a different approach based on available players. One year 15 QBs go in the top 10 and the next year the second qb picked people are like WTF!!? And then the free agent linemen are better than the whole draft?!

I feel like this year the draft was like harbor freight vs the Fein tool store
