Bezos ran Amazon at a loss for a good while with the sole purpose of establishing them as a dominant force.

I see this is a pretty ideal mindset for the owner of a football team to have.

Regardless, though, they've already made their wealth. These are rich dudes. If they're in the market to buy a ball team, theyre not gonna want to lose.

I'd note this is the execution of the will - Jody does not own the Seahawks, she has a legal and fiscal responsibility to Paul's estate to fulfill the wishes he had put into place.

Would love to see her remain in ownership in some manner, but not sure she has the capital for a total ownership.

Look at Jerry, Mark Davis, Snyder,and many others that are rich and don't want to lose and think they can will a championship out of players and coaches by meddleing and making their presence felt by trying to control how football people do their job in a non football people way.

Sure, but the point is that they're all rich and they all got rich by being some level of neurotic control freak.

It's not going to be especially reliable to apply someone's approach to their professional life that made them filthy rich to how they'll approach running a football team.

What I DO know is that this organization rose to prominence and respectability when they were bought by the owner who had the deepest pockets and immediately commanded the respect of the owners. I would be keen to go down that path before seeing this organization bought out by those without the type of deep resources (and willingness to use them to be the best) that took this franchise from South Alaskan after-thought to an exemplary outfit from top to bottom.

Also, those guys aren't that rich compared to the other owners. Davis in particular is pretty strapped. Allen was easily the wealthiest when he bought the team, and it made a difference.
