How many times did Witherspoon come on a blitz tonight? Spoon came on a blitz at least five times and either sacked, hit, hurried, or forced a fumble every single time.
Monster player.
Monster player.
This is exactly what I was thinking reading the first post. Emmanwori seemed to be fine, but didn’t have the impact we have come to expect. Kid gutted it out and still was an important part of what the dark side accomplished last night though. He absolutely played his butt off. I wondered if they used spoon like they did because they didn’t trust Emmanwori to get there on his injured ankle.
I think said CB has probably played his last game as a Seahawk. He's like the DK of corners. Has all the physical tools to be dominant, but is just too inconsistent.Meanwhile on the other side .. our ms and the defense’s dreams of pitching a shutout went down the drain when a certain CB was jogging to his position… and didn’t make it in time before the snap…
He gave up the big play on the previous snap as well. He squandered a true opportunity to become elite under mm.
I recall talking to my brother about the play where Spoon go his sack that EM was right there to get it if Spoon didn't...our D is just ridiculous and so young and I feel like Mike is just scratching the surface of what that group can accomplish...going to be an interesting offseason. All the narrative leading up to this was how the Pats had faced 3 of the top defenses in the playoffs and still won and we just dominated them. Never even felt like they were in the game. Damn good thing we have a team friendly QB deal. Not at all calling for Sam to go somewhere else...especially next year...but imagine if Milore is ready to take off after next year and we can ride that cheap QB wave a couple more years. Could by a dynasty in the making...He absolutely played his butt off. I wondered if they used spoon like they did because they didn’t trust Emmanwori to get there on his injured ankle.
They definitely saw some sort of tendency on film and were working hard to exploit it. I loved the ballsy gameplan but did anyone here realize that 'Spoon was such an elite pass rushing talent? We were definitely out of character with our blitz percentage compared to the season. But with a young QB and a suspect OL, it was a pretty safe gamble overall. Nice to see them do that in the SB, so many coaches get really conservative in the playoffs.
The Tharold Simon Effect.I think said CB has probably played his last game as a Seahawk. He's like the DK of corners. Has all the physical tools to be dominant, but is just too inconsistent.
I think most of us were aware early on.They definitely saw some sort of tendency on film and were working hard to exploit it. I loved the ballsy gameplan but did anyone here realize that 'Spoon was such an elite pass rushing talent?
He was unbelievable last night.
