Solid victory, by at least two scores. I just think we're more battle tested than they are, and I'm getting the feeling that Drake Maye may actually be seriously hurt, even more so than Darnold. Yes, they've faced some great defenses in the playoffs, but ours is a much different monster to slay. They deserve a lot of credit for turning things around so fast, but I don't think they're ready for this stage just yet.

Patriots aren’t in the Super Bowl if they had our schedule that’s all I’m saying. Patriots aren’t in the Super Bowl. If BoNix doesnt get hurt. Look at Kansas City playing the Eagles recently!! Look at when we played Denver in the Super Bowl!! The real Super Bowl was that NFC championship. We just played. I truly believe that it’s not gonna be a blowout, but the only way we lose this game is by beating ourselves. I.E- penalties , turnovers , bad coaching.
Officiating?

I honestly feel like the Rams got almost all the breaks last wknd
But Seattle overcame

I'd like another Bronco SB but all I am looking for is the W. Confident in a win.
Patriots are there for a reason. Weak schedule or not, they made it to the SB and will put up a good fight.

In any normal year, I'd agree. The AFC was laughably inept this year, however - letting some inferior teams hang at the top of the talent tree on paper that they'd otherwise have no shot to be in this year.

My prediction: Massacre. Might not show on the score board adequately in the end, but anyone watching the game will see men bullying boys all day; book it.
In other words : JV vs. Varsity.

I thought that the officiating in the NFCCG was quite good. They let a lot of the ticky tacky PI calls go on both sides and let the players play. There was a spot where they missed a face mask on us, but the closest ref wasn't in a good position to see it, and we got away with one.

The NFL can not and will not allow back to back Superbowl blowouts. Be on the lookout for heavy steering from the refs to keep this one artificially close and entertaining.
I sincerely hope you're wrong! When I first started watching the NFL, in the 1984/5 season, the NFC champion won 13 SBs in a row, and a large percentage of these were by a good to massacre margin. I realise this was (gasp!) from 40 years ago, however.

Bleacher Report did an analysis of each player group and gave them QB and TE. That was it.

There are a couple of factors that will determine if Pats keep it close / have a chance of winning it at the end.
1. Can the interior D line get consistent enough pressure on Sam and force him to turn the ball over? This is one I have concerns over. Bradford I’m looking at you.
2. Can Seattle stop Maye converting 3rd and 4th down with his legs? Think this one depends on how well Seattle stops the run on first two downs but the QB has a tendency to revert to his legs on key spots. We are slightly vulnerable to mobile QBs.

Been saying the AFC is TRASH for a month now. Their playoffs were a joke. Bring on the massacre.

Sam Darnold just outdueled The BEST QB in the League to get to the SB.

How Bleacher Report can say with a straight face that the Pats have the better QB who is in his 2nd year, is a f*cking joke.

The nfl will want it close so people watch the halftime show and commercials...we win of course but voted closer than we would like.

ugh. Yeah...I have a feeling that the first half is going to be full of flags by the Refs to prevent the game from getting out of hand.

All bets are off after Halftime, though.

I expect a dog fight but if any team gets buried quickly, it will more likely be the Patriots. If either team is forced to become one dimensional, then it will likely be the difference in the ball game. I don't expect either quarterback to situationally hold up well under perpetual, predictable passing downs, especially from the gun in 11 personnel.

Sundell and Bradford must hold up on at least 50% of the snaps against the Patriots defensive tackles. I don't expect them to win, but they must play them to a draw. That can't happen unless Kubiak schematically helps them. That matchup is the largest area of concern for Seattle. Anticipating that Sam will get instant pressure up the middle must be the offensive focus. If Seattle decides to quick pitch the ball as a counter, then they must rep those exchanges a few extra times because the bane of run option offense is the turnover volatility relative to pitching the ball. Regardless, a couple quick pitches to Shaheed may be necessary to slow interior pressure. I am very, very concerned about the Patriots defensive tackles. They will be the best that Seattle has faced this year.

Matt Stafford was 0-7 on third/fourth down and still finished with elite passing stats because of his next level play on first/second down. Maye's receiving corps isn't good enough and Maye isn't experienced enough to statistically replicate that.

Seattle must be disciplined relative to penalties and offensively aggressive on early downs with the explosives in the first quarter, just to back the safeties up by a step.

We stop Stevenson, we will the game comfortably provided we also keep Maye's scrambling in check on 3rd and 4th downs. We accomplish both of these, and stop the Pats from long, sustained drives on offense that end up as TDs, and they will not score more than 17 points.

I'm confident that Klint will devise a game plan that doesn't allow the Pats DTs to stifle us in either the run game or on pass plays. I expect Klint wiil protect Sam by moving him out of the pocket quite a bit.

We'll likely see JSN in the backfield to negate Gonzalez from latching onto him. I also expect to see K9 and JSN on screen plays to take advantage of the Pats LB-ers in space. I also expect to see Barner see about 5-6 targets on PA plays just because of how the Pats safeties protect against explosive pass plays. The Hawks do all, or even most of the above, I believe that we'll score more than 30 points.

Final score prediction...

Hawks 30

Pats 17
