This from Patriots forum. Delusional. Have the even watched football? Vastly superior?

Super Bowl 49 rematch.

I feel more confident about this game than the Broncos game to be honest.

Seahawks have a good all around defense, but Rams put up over 100 yards on the ground, and Stafford had damn near 400 yards passing.

Granted Pats offense isn't nearly as explosive as the Rams it's a good sign the ball can be moved up and down against the Seahawks.

I'm confident Josh will scheme up a tight gameplan against the Seahawks.

Match up-wise I don't know how well the teams do, but I consider Pats defense vastly superior to the Seahawks.

Also I'd say Maye is far and away more talented than Darnold although SB jitters can affect both players.

Darnold has improved quite a bit after struggling in big moments, but will he step up in the biggest moment of them all? He definitely has the weapons, but that remains to be seen.

Too funny. Did they even WATCH the championship games?

Drake Maye (AFC Champ): 86 passing yards. 0 Passing TDs. Carried by his defense and the weather.

Sam Darnold (NFC Champ): 346 yards, 3 TDs, clutch win against a division rival.

Lol. Pats fan thinks beating the Broncos in a snowstorm makes them "Vastly Superior"

Let them be overconfident. It worked out real well for the Broncos.

But get ready for 2 weeks FULL of this dreck.......

Nothing wrong with being confident in your team but in what world would you rather play this seahawks team over the stiddy led broncos?

Thankfully, the Seahawks players and coaching staff will not head into this game discounting the Patriots like the media and overall football fanbase is. This Patriots team against all odds has made it to the SB, sure they have been fortunate in a lot of ways, but I'm not gonna fault their fans for believing in their team.

From a yardage standpoint the Patriots defense has outperformed the Seahawks defense in the playoffs. That being said quality of opponents were vastly different. Hopefully no one on the Patriots offense is capable of replicating McVays success against the Seahawks.

It just seems like ignorance to me. Stafford has lit the defense up more than once this season, he has our number. But they obviously haven't watched any Seahawks ball this season. They're in for a rude awakening for sure.

Delusional is the best word for that. Stafford's the MVP, Nacua is right there with JSN, McVay knows this team, its divisional craziness, and so on. It's just not comparable at all. It reads like it's coming from a fan that only watches Patriot games, really.

There's quite a few folks who are taking their cues from the Rams games and assuming we have no defense.

I can't quiiiite blame them, but they gotta take into account that those were division games and anything can happen.
And the Rams unlike the Patriots, actually have an offense

The Patriots' strength of schedule for the 2025 season was .429, and their opponents had a combined 2024 record of 124-165. This was the third-weakest strength of schedule in the NFL.

During and after the season, SOS is adjusted and becomes a metric that measures how opponents have performed that season. The Patriots have a -2.8 SOS for the 2025 season, the lowest in the league.

Their forums are set-up well. You have to make xxxx amount of posts in meaningless forums before posting in their SB thread.

Maybe I’ll find the time/energy.

I want to inform their fan base of just how bad this ass-whooping is going to be.

Football fans and many analysts have goldfish brains.

They don’t look at the whole but what the immediate was. The immediate was, “Wow the Rams thrashed the Seahawks, they’re not that good.”

The big picture is through out the entire year the defense has been dominant and is perhaps the best in the league and the Rams always give the Hawks trouble.
