meh a record that nobody will care about. Gotta figure now that seasons 18 games long those records that seems like freak things are now fairly easily attainable. Especially when your ALMOST the only target.

Whats more important.. JSN plays for and is part of a TEAM. PUKA only cares about PUKA. JSN cares and plays for his TEAM. He's even stated the numbers dont matter to him, we just gotta get the W

Yea the flip side of winning a title like that is, it can go to some guys head, then create a ā€œI’m the bestā€ attitude. In turn that can cause a situation where the dude wants a huge ā€œhighest paidā€ contract.

I truly dislike that aspect of sports. It can actually be a cancer that slowly eats away at a ā€œteamā€.
I don’t foresee it happening with JSN, but I do worry in the back of my mind about stuff like that.
We see it in the NFL fairly often.

JSN deserves every penny he wants and will probably get it, regardless.

JSN’s season ranks 8th All-Time. If Puka catches him, JSN will have to beat him next year.

To be fair yards per game is the better legacy comparison though.

...what? I didn't say it was your point, and wasn't arguing.
And I’m not arguing. We’re good.

I just don’t want to be misunderstood.
I believe that JSN deserves everything he can get.
I’ll support him getting everything he can.

My point was, and I stated I didn’t expect it from him, I don’t like when a player places themselves above the team while looking for their ā€œbagā€.
Personal awards can, and many times do go to a player’s head, this can lead to a slow deterioration of relationships (become a cancer).

Hell, we’ve seen it with our own team before, let alone numerous times throughout the NFL.

AGAIN, don’t expect this scenario with JSN even for a minute.
Was simple commentary about the potential award.

Your statement made me think maybe folks didn’t understand what I was getting at.

Oh, I wasn't misunderstanding what you were saying, more so just adding on.

I don't disagree with your sentiment, but I also understand that this is a profession that takes a high toll on players. I fully support guys trying to get their payday while they can, though I do appreciate when players don't try to break a team's bank doing it.

Hell, we’ve seen it with our own team before, let alone numerous times throughout the NFL.

Nah, we are on the same page. I think JSN is the type of player you reward for his performance and locker room presence. You pay those guys top dollar to show other players that if you put the team first AND perform at a high level you will be taken care of. That's how you build trust and get guys to buy in to the team.

There's a fine line between the two ideologies, for sure.

Means a lot to me. Like when Alexander got mvp......Means nothing in life. Literally nothing. But for Hawks fans..it meant a lot. In that regard, I want him to get this, he earned it.
