Confederate Battle Flag: i remember students waved the flag before, during and after the games. Removed following student votes in 2019.
Colonel Reb: The on-field mascot was Colonel Reb, a figure dressed as a Southern colonel. He was removed from the sidelines in 2003 and from merchandise by 2010.
"Dixie": The university's marching band, "The Pride of the South," played "Dixie" as part of their game-day routine. The university officially stopped playing "Dixie" at sporting events in 2016,
