“I’m mic’d up”

It always cracks me up whenever a player is mic’d up for the week, no matter the player and without fail, they ALWAYS say something like “just so you know I’m mic’d up”.

I don’t know what on earth players say normally on Gameday which puts the fear of God into the player wearing the mic but it’s funny as hell to me. This phenomena spans eras, coaches, players.

I dare you to watch one single mic’d up episode through the years where the player doesn’t warn whoever he is talking to that their conversation is being recorded.

I assume it’s to protect the teammate(s) from being caught saying something really unsavory and politically incorrect. No matter, it just tickles me for whatever reason.

Always cracks me up seeing MM cussing. Seems like a dude who seems reluctant to lie at times about stuff like injuries but also seems so even keeled and unflappable that it seems almost odd to gear him do so.

I just posted a thread linking the micd up with Nick this week.. Guess what @AROS ... He was letting people know he was miked up.. at one point Big Cat told him hes probably going to get fined rofl
