What was fun/interesting to watch was no matter what Sam did wrong, no matter how many times we couldn't capitalize on offense, no matter how bad you felt about what was going on...they COULD NOT pull away from us. We were STILL in it till the very last second. Almost mind-bogglingly so.
Our defense is SCARY good up front!

4 picks from Darnold? Missed FG in the end to win?

And you all wonder why I don't want to watch these games in real time.

It was more then frustrating , BUT there was a lot of good things as well (Defence)
I gotta admit I turned it off after the 4th or 5th? pick from darnold
Regardless of that though the defence stood them the F up in the first quater (how many 4 down trys did mcvay need to try )
I said it another thread, but lets just chalk this one up to ram/seahawk stuff thats been happening for over a decade

My funny response: have you not seen our KICKING game? (Our new thicker kicker has made his PATs, but Rams have not attempted a FG in the two games we’ve had him. Karty was missing PATs and FGs and getting kicks blocked before him).

Serious response: It’s been fun to watch this season develop and each week seems to have new things. Specifically, McVay seems to be developing new Offensive schemes and trying them out differently (especially with the multiple TEs). Feels like he is in the middle of his process this season, not the end.
Going to get Soulfished here 🤣, but…McVay is an incredible coach.

I wouldn’t put it past him to disguise strengths, schemes, etc…and break them out when it really counts.

How was this an exciting game? Neither team could move the ball, Darnold threw one stupid pick after another, clock management was a joke, and the refs were abysmal. The Rams survived more than they won. It wasn't particularly enjoyable to watch on any level.

I totally dig that the vast majority of you are saying that yeah we lost but it wasn’t a shit show. We held our own, obviously defensively. I hate to hear that Sam had 4 turnovers. But the overall collective impression I am hearing is that it wasn’t an embarrassing loss on any level. I’ll watch the game now just to see for myself how it all went down.

Victory comes next week against the Titans. 8-3.

You missed an epic battle. You should have watched it. It was so much fun grinding and executing those long drives. This will only favor us and provide exposure to run long drives. Shaheed is still getting added to the offense, so I see a fun scheme once he gets the hang of it. He and the RBs would definitely ease the pressure of Sam to make it easier for him.

Yeah. The defense played well, but Sammy boy did his best to lose this game. I need some paint to drink.

Not to be a Pete guy because I'm not, but it's all about the ball.. and, those numbers show it.

That hurts to see...A LOT. But at the same time, it does bode well for our future in this division.

Despite those turn overs. The hawks felt like the better team. The Hawks really controlled the game. And in the end it came down to a game of inches. That punt going out at the goaline was the nail in the coffin.

Too true. We’ve seen what he can do.

WHY was this game different?

If someone would’ve told me he was throwing 4 picks today, I would’ve called them crazy.

Something is up…
I would like to see some breakdowns on the amount of “pressures” and “hits” Sam was under.
I’m certainly concerned about Sam in big moments, can he truly be “Clutch”?
But…..

Although I was frustrated and didn’t watch as closely as normal, it sure felt like our O-line didn’t play as well as they have been.
Maybe there’s more to yesterday than Sam not being able to handle the big moments?

I also watched the game after it was over, but I resisted looking up the score, and I'm glad I saw the game and experienced all the highs and lows. (It felt mainly like lows, tbh.)

My coach told us long ago, if you can't stand the pain of losing, you don't get to feel the joy of winning.

This game had us on the edge of anguish/euphoria the whole time. I think there was a time when watching this kind of game would have tortured me, but now I'm better able to watch with more fascination and less disgust.

I know @AROS would say life's too short to put yourself through this misery, but I say life's too short to miss a big game like this, no matter the outcome.

It was still an exciting game. The negative Nancy's ruin everything. I had fun watching and was not as doomed as everyone else.

Played one of the best teams in the league to the very end and barely lost despite throwing 4 picks.

Darnold won't always throw 4 picks.
We easily could have won. The picks by Darnold were not totally his fault. This game will go differently next time. Seemed like our offense has better potential and our defense is better. We were technically moving the ball pretty well… just mistakes really cost us this time. Hopefully Sam gets a little mentally tougher after this one
