It's not the 2010s anymore. Lots of teams have kickers who at least don't make a completely laughable attempt there: Lions, Jaguars, Cowboys, Chargers, Eagles, Ravens, Bengals, Texans, Steelers, Broncos, etc, etc.

There are guys that can make it from 70 now. Meyers has a relatively weak leg in today’s game. He hit a 57 yarder in the first half. With a -3 in the turnovers, it’s crazy that we had a chance to win. Their punter won the game putting us on our 1.

Here’s the deal. We got the ball back with a minute 50 seconds with one time out. It’s supposed to be a two minute friggin drill. There was no urgency rushing up to the line, hiking the ball, etc. At least for God sake let’s move on from Jason Myers next year yes I agree with some 61 yards is not a gimme but it seems like with this new K ball rule 60 yard field goals will become the norm. Like once upon a time if you could kick it from 50 You have what was considered a strong leg.

Lots of teams? Hardly. Maybe 10, and thats being generous. Regardless, we are not one of those teams, we have Myers. It was out if his range. Period. Anyone who followed this team knows it was out if his range, and probably 80% of the kickers in the league.
