As you can probably tell by now I am surfing YouTube and to my great surprise GMFB’s Kyle Brandt was on with Brock and Salk for the first time.

I must admit, Kyle is the primary reason I’ve become a regular viewer of GMFB. He’s incredibly smart in a multitude of areas, has a kinetic personality perfect for television and/or radio…Even Brock and Salk clearly recognize his traits as well.

They, and I, hope it’s not his last time on the show. And who knew he has ties to my old neighborhood Maple Valley!

Funny, because I've always hated watching him on NFL Network, way too damn hyper, and seemed pretty arrogant. Plus, he always came across as a Rams worshiper and didn't really try to hide it. Shoot, just last year he was talking junk about the Hawks. He's totally flipped over to the Hawks.
After yesterday, I can't lie, I like the guy. I hope he goes on 710 more often.

Good find but….

I don’t know how you can stomach the 95% crap on GMFB.

You’re hard core Bro.

Feel the same way about him. I still don't like him though. But it's good he is speaking up for the Hawks.

Angry runs would be amazing, if he didn't freak out the entire time. GMFB spends way too much time being a comedy show. Though it's a lot less than it used to be.

Yeah. I dont know who told the NFL the whole WWE / Hulk Hogan commentator but was a smart thing to do. I tuned out for years when Steve Marriucci and Michael Irvin and friends would go all in on the schtick. Was annoying.

GMFB isn't as bad. It's mostly just Kyle that feels the need to show out.

I personally miss Kay Adams...

I watch GMFB every morning and Brandt himself recently apologized to Hawks fans for their “uneven” coverage of the Hawks and in fact the whole NFC W save for LAR.

The fact their Westcoast studio is right across the road from the Rams field may have something to do with it , but he has certainly reversed himself on the Hawks believing they are far better than they get credit for being. His angry runs schtick is painful to watch as it is overdone but he is a fan boy at times for various teams (The Bills) and like many of us is scornful of the when were you actually really relevant Cowboys.

I have warmed.up to him as well., and now respect him though he can be a real clown to watch sometimes.

I couldn't stand him myself years ago, but now he's completely grown on me and I admire his takes on just about everything, his delivery, his intelligence, he's very well read, was an English major and it shows. Even his Angry Run segments crack me up. He's deliberately over the top about it. Normally I would hate that kind of stuff but it cracks me up now.

When it was Kay, Nate, Kyle and Peter in New York, I used to watch all the time. About an hour worth of really good daily content and then it just gets repetitive. Maybe I should tune in again.

It's totally different now but I still like it. Jamie is a fantastic host. Like Kay, beautiful AND smart. Manti Teʻo is the newcomer and he's doing a great job. Like the big brother anybody would want. A big heart and it shows. Former player, has great insight from that perspective. Kyle is the OG, The Godfather of GMFB. Huge personality, not for everyone but he's wicked smart and quick-witted and I freaking love his football AND music and pop culture IQ. His Angry Run segment is hilariously over the top and he knows it and owns it.

That leaves the final chair, which GMFB kind of uses as a revolving door. My favorite, who I hope becomes a more permanent fixture, is Isaiah Stanback. Not just because he is from Seattle and loves the Seahawks, but because he's excellent in front of the camera. Well spoken, knows his stuff, a total pro.

GMFB is certainly not for everyone and I totally get that. But they have become - for better or for worse - my morning cup of coffee.

Yep, Matti and Jamie, along with Kyle, it's solid. Good call on Stanback. And not just because he played for the Dawgs. Well, partially.
