I meant to post this earlier but got distracted with life stuff. I can’t tell you how tickled I was reading the thread about how NFL.com has us ranked at #3 and many of us thought that was too high.

This is comedy gold.

Several of us are like, “No, a little too high. 5-7 sounds about right”. Talk about rich people problems. I’m not sure what we expected 6 games into the 2025 season but to be debating if we are the 3rd or 5th best team in the NFL is giving me a good laugh in the best of ways.

Enjoy this season! Savor each game (or for a scaredy cat like me after the fact), and realize your Seattle Seahawks are one of the best teams in the NFL right now.

If so, and it's a near repeat of this last game, what a nail-biter it promises to be (again, after the fact, right?).

Daniel Jeremiah has the Bucs and Seahawks as the two best teams in the NFC right now and I agree.

Do I smell a Bucs Seahawks NFCCG?!

I don't care what anyone tells me or how it is sliced up. The Seahawks dropped that Bucs on purpose and no one will convince me otherwise. They'll see each other again in January

Until we beat the Rams, these rankings are kind of meaningless to me. We're 1-1 (.500) in our own division. We've got to play the Rams twice, the 9ers and Cards once each. If the Rams beat us twice it's likely we don't even win the division. And we have a tough time beating them, 7-12 the last ten years. What if we really get bitten by the injury bug? What if we lose to both the Texans and Commanders before we even play the Rams for the first time? Could easily happen.

If we've learned one thing this year so far in the NFL it's that predictions don't mean jack shyt. What seems logical today is not so much so tomorrow.

Baker will melt down well before then... Unless this is the year he finally puts it all together. I just can't see them (him) continuing to win the way they are with one-off, miraculous plays. At some point, the well runs a bit dry.

Fair point.

But until that happens (us facing the Rams; not injuries...for god's sake), we need to enjoy the ride.

And this Texans game is going to be their toughest task to date.

I think the first team to 20 points wins as I feel our Punter (and their Punter) will be getting a ton of work.

As far as the Commanders go? Let's cross that bridge when we reach it. We will most likely have everyone back healthy for that game.

Seahawks fans: No one pays attention to us because we're in Seattle.

National media: The Seahawks are one of the best teams in the NFL.

Seahawks fans: No, we're not!

The sad part is this is entirely accurate this season lol

Back in Seattle.

The style he plays also makes him vulnerable to injury. However it is impressive.

Reminds me a bit of 2004 and now I had to pinch myself when the Hawks gradually rose to No1 and then made the spot home for quite a while (between 1 and 2) and how they then did it again in 2012. I kept thinking 'this can't be real' and waiting for the wheels to fall off.

It's a great feeling for sure and even better if you have been around from the early days and survived the 90s.

Until we dictate terms in our division the 49ers and Rams are the top of the heap, forcasting is fine, but that leads to beleiving news clippings before the story is finished, Rams have been our achillies heel for a while 49ers find a way to make us miserable the last few years.

I want the attitude, the disrespect, the hunger. When we win the division then we can talk since we will also be the target.

I don't so easlily forget we are a 7 and 10 team at best from all those experts before the first game as well as Darnold is a one and done and can't perform without his receivers from Minny.

I'm not sold on anything yet as the season is still early. I know the Eagles and Lions are having issues, but I still think they are better than the Hawks. The Bucs are a pain as we saw and we haven't even played the Rams yet.

This is pretty much the point I was making with that other thread. We are playing well but so are the Niners in spite of a plethora of injuries. Sure they lost to the Bucs but they are ranked number 1. I personally think they have the NFC West as a whole kind of whacky.

Yup. It's all just probabilities at a given point in time. Or imagination. Neither is a substitute for the reality that's approaching. All we know is that just about everything is still *possible*. That's it.

No doubt the Niners are doing amazing, despite their quest for six (starting QBs in one season). They will fall off a cliff. I wouldn't be surprised to see them drop 7-8 of their last 11 games.

Their league easiest schedule isn't looking so easy now. The only easy games they have left are Giants, Panthers, and Titans, and even the Giants and Panthers are putting up a tremendous fight now. I think they are getting the Giants at a bad time, as I see the Giants having a mid-season peak before falling off.

Right
Whoever thought the giants would be such a tough out this year
