I don’t know, it seems like a fair assessment to me. Yes, all those stuffed runs still make a defense play up and open things downfield. But wouldn’t it be even better for the Hawks’ offense if some of those zero-gain or negative runs actually went for positive yards?

Naturally. (much like the Charbonet 4-yarder late that turned out to be a big difference-maker in Meyer's Game-winning FG)

But if it's not working and you stop running the ball because of it, that makes the opposing D know that only a passing play is coming so they can pin their ears back and go after the QB without worrying about getting burned.

The opposing D has to be kept off-balance in not knowing when a Pass play is coming...

Otherwise, the Grubb Shotgun offense would've been more successful than it was.

No. I'd still put Philly at the top. Those f***ers just don't lose, unfortunately. And I do NOT trust the Bills. Green Bay, TBD. They seem like they've been reading their own press clippings.

Completely agree that continued rushing attempts — even when they don't garner yardage — lead to sweet play action, but I might be reading Henderson's writeup differently than you are. Are you saying he thinks the Hawks should run less because they haven't seen sustained success on the ground?

I'm not sure I see him stating the Hawks should stop running the ball because of that. To me, he's saying the aspect of the offense that's dragging it down the most is the failed rushes, and it would be preferable if they had fewer no-gain plays.

Before the game announcers said that the Cardinals were going to focus on stopping Seattle's running game. That was Pete's formula, stop the run, force them to throw the ball, then turn the dogs loose.

I agree with where the Seahawks are, but there is a lot of laughable stuff on there otherwise. Eagles in the 2nd tier? Packers ahead of the Lions? The Jaguars? Steelers and Broncos ahead of the Chiefs?

If it's not working but the solution isn't to stop running the ball. The solution is change the run plays so they are more effective at getting positive yards most of the time.

If that is not possible things are fine, if the defence sets up to stop the run play action is working great, if the defence sets up to stop the pass we are getting plenty those 15+ yards rushing plays.

That’s ridiculous all over the board. Even some of the teams that I think it about when I want to induce vomiting are too low.

Rams being just in the “good”? They dominated the Eagles most of the game in Philly before losing in a very untypical fashion.

Dak played lights out against GB, he’s quietly having an excellent season.

The Bolts just got beat by a prepubescent boy starting his first game ever.

Who knows?????
