He’s ready to get some practice in. No word on if he’ll get time in the final preseason game. Not sure I’d risk it. Would like to at least see him in game 1

I’d love to watch him for an entire season, I suspect he would be a huge impact.

Having said that, I’m on board with cutting ties if he goes out again for anything significant

I like Nwosu, but I think it might be time to cut ties. If we can trade him, now would be the time.

Not so fast. He's an outstanding player when healthy. Operable words for sure. When healthy. I say if he passed his physical that's a great sign. Work your way back into the rotation and if he gets injured again, then yes, it's time to consider cutting ways.

Can't play scared. IMO put him in for a series at Green Bay and let him get his feet wet. YMMV.

Agreed when healthy. The thing is, it seems we always seem to hold on to players too long when the are hurt.

IMO, he's got limited trade value due to injuries. I'd rather roll with Nwosu, assuming we pass on one of the elite guys being discussed. Nwosu, Mafe, & Hall all have decent traits for MacDaddy to utilize and provide decent depth.

Nwosu is a great addition to the team when he plays. I just hope this injury streak is over.

Agreed. I also hope these nagging injuries haven't created some limitations in his game. Sounds like he may not be back week 1 (hawkblogger relaying what some of the reporters told him), but on track for week 3/4. Would like to have seen him in PS 3. Maybe the reports are off.

Good news he’s a great player when healthy. I wonder if he’s trade bait although I do like his play on the field he’s very athletic

Macdonald hasn’t answered previously when asked except to say he’s working really hard. Removing him from PUP means we can have him available at any point he’s back to football shape. If it were going to be week 4 I don’t see any reason to remove him from the PUP list. They have to believe he’ll be ready sooner rather than later. Let’s just hope he survives practice

Having the benefit of a fresh Nwosu followed by a fresh Rylie Mills stepping onto the field sometime after the season opener would be a boost for a defense looking to fight thru at least 17 battles.

Can't wait to see him on the field. Nobody can bat down passes like Nwosu. He's got that gift of reading the QB's eyes and seeing exactly where the play is going.

He wasn't much good last year after he got back on the field. His 2023 season feels like a distant memory.

He only started 2 games last year. I doubt he ever played healthy last year.

Also I think you are confusing 2022 for 2023. He had a great season his first year with us but got injured and hadn’t been able to get and stay healthy. If (and it’s a huge if) he’s near 100% and stays healthy he can do really good things on this defense. If he can’t stay healthy then this paint his last chance here.

Th amount of work a player puts in when healthy to play at a high level is incredible. Running, weights, endurance flexibility and on and on. Now try doing that when you are injured. Coming back from an injury is the most difficult challenge a football player goes through. The amount of work, pain and disappointment the player goes through to recover is off the charts. You guys are way too hard on injured players. You lack the appreciation of what these guys do to be able to go out there and entertain you as you sit on the coach watching them
