Considering what he had to work with in Minny, it's pretty hard to expect him to have that same year. And he won't be asked to. This team is going to pound the rock and not apologize for it.

I put 60/40 only because I think its like what Soulfish said. He will play well but won't be asked to go get close to 40 touchdowns like he did last year. If I had to guess he does better than Geno's 1 TD/INT per game average though which is good enough for me.

I don’t see him having to work hard enough to regress. He might put up less numbers cause this is sposed to be a running team but his results will be more realistic, cause honestly the Vikings coulda been undefeated and I still wouldn’t have been scared….. The season really can’t get here fast enough so we can all see what it really is instead of this off season pure speculation BS.

It’s only July and Seattle has a tendency to start fast, maybe hit a slight wall, after they start out really well.

I think we won’t know how this team is until around Thanksgiving. It’s usually like that every year.

We won’t know if Darnold has what it takes until at least mid October. Either way, Seattle’s future under Macdonald, I feel pretty confident in.

Training camp is when the fun starts again!

Stats only get you so far. We just got rid of a guy who was really good between the 20's, much of the time. He made it to one playoff game.

Darnolds propensity to throw interceptions concerns me. I don't consider him better than Geno in that regard. In fact I think both QBs are very similar.
At least Darnold doesn't have delusions of being elite and doesn't consider 40+ million a year disrespectful.
I'll take Darnolds attitude, demeanor, and leadership over Geno's every day of the week.
All that said I think 10 11 wins is where this team lands when it's all said and done.

I have to see Darnold play in our system in pads.
The Vikings and Raiders are not going to the playoffs.. Vikings have a second year rookie and behind him a guy going nowhere. Raiders have a choke artist. We have a cutting edge defense. So there it is etched in stone....wont change.

I'm pretty optimistic. He won't be asked to do Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson things, but my hope is our system makes him succeed in the way Wilson did here.
