Nice way to start an important series.

Kirby with too many 3 ball counts and walks early, settled in for 6 scoreless.

Offense came to play. Welcome back Geno with a 2b and a run. Decent on defense as well.

Cole Young, what can be said? Epic HR followed up with a 3b his next AB. Way to go kid!

Thornton injury sucks. Just tried to build up the pen and the turf monster takes out his ankle. Hopefully not too serious.

Finally moved JP out of the leadoff spot, take the pressure of that off of him. Got a key RBI single tonight. Making a little better contact than he has been lately. Keep him hidden at the back end of the lineup for a while. Im good with that.

Wecome to the Mariners Caleb Ferguson. We've been needing a quality leftie in the pen for years. Nice shutout inning.

One game done, let's go get game 2.

Thornton looked like an Achilles injury. The way he pushed off. Didn’t look like he rolled an ankle. That would have been better for sure.

Solid win. Sucks about Thornton. Expecting him to be finished for the season. Makes me even a little more *panged* that we didn't get that additional quality reliever that I hoped for. Onward and upward.

At least we got one. I was thinking another bases loaded, less than two out, and no run inning. LOL

Why can't someone just hit a double down the line when the bases are loaded? LOL

Joc Pederson makes some of our most recent FA signings look a lot better. Big contract with some awful production to go with it.

I think you spelled JP Crawford wrong. As NON clutch as they come. Yet ANOTHER inning ending double play. All JP does is hurt the team. For several weeks now.

Julios last 2 at bats he was thrown 11 pitches total. 2 of them were in the strike zone. He swung at almost every pitch.
Home run derby did him in.
