I love Matt. Unlike some of our recent superstars he never talks bad about other players out of jealousy, is always respectful and just always come across as honest and real. One of my favorite players ever.

I listened. What struck me was it was so nice to hear someone talking honestly and matter-of-factly about inside team stuff. Very refreshing. Beastquake...that was just SO Marshawn in a nutshell, right down to the crotch grab falling backwards in the endzone. Yeah, Hasselbeck real decent guy. I loved hearing him say how he'd avoid Holmgren after a bad play/series as he came to the sidelines. LOL You could just feel what we all saw and were thinking at such times.

Yes, Wilson had the highlight reel plays and was magic at the end of games......but the best offense we had were those Holmgren years, and Hass was the leader. He had Shaun and the best OL, but honestly his wrs during his run were crazy inconsistent . So many drops . Never had a true stud WR1 that I can remember. That offense was also difficult to run unless you had the timing down. I wonder if that Steeler game didn't turn into a debacle Hass would've been rated much higher. Holmgrens departure to the Mora Jr mess, to Pete not wanting him kind of killed his backend

Very true he never had an elite WR. I still remember all the drops during his last game as a Seahawk in the playoffs in Chicago. He was on target but unfortunately everyone had butterfingers that day.

One of my all time favorites for a number of reasons . He was OUR guy . He had balls , and there was a time where he could hang with anyone . He lit a lot of defenses up only to be let down by the defense .

I think if the Super Bowl had been honestly officiated we probably would have won....and if he doesn't fail on his called shot, then he's probably a borderline hall of famer. Those two games made the difference.
Might just be homerism on my part though.

Still love the other poster who has the Hass in a 'stache.LOVE Hass stories. Love the part where he's pissed off and throws it hard enough to 'break' PC's glasses. Liked the part too where he was talking about Lynch being truly all in and really team first. Lots of good stuff in there.
Ran across the wikipedia page today looking for images of Hass - did NOT know that both he and his wife have been hit by lightning!
AND I'm just pissed at myself that I never knew he had a gig on ESPN until like 2 months before they let them go!

Nah, he knew all those guys. They were messing with each other. That got WAY too much bad publicity.
He made a joke to a bunch of his former teammates. Bannister ran a horrible route and made zero effort to knock the ball down.

The drops were unreal. Easily caught passes were dropped. And even semi easy were. It was so frustrating.

I ran into Hasselbeck in the CLT airport about a year ago on NFL Draft Day flying out to Denver. I was wearing our blue throwback jersey walking through the terminal… he comes right up to me and I don’t realize it’s him until he’s right in front of me nodding in excitement and goes “I like that jersey!”
I go “Hasselbeck! What’s up man? How you been doing?” He’s like “I’m great how are you?” Just a natural, all-world class act. I enjoy hearing him every week on Herd’s show on Mondays.

That's true. Very similar to a certain superb owl. Retardo Lockette wrong personel for that. I would say a decent call with the right people. People forget the Pats could stop the run.
