Don’t forget he threw away Robbie ray too in that process who is currently pitching like an allstar. There’s so many things he did that make me sick. Hard to think of that many that he did that I’m excited about

The past 2 off seasons have both been a complete disaster for Jerry. I used to buy into the excuse that he's hamstrung by Stanton, but then he spent nearly $50 million on Polanco, Garver, Haniger, and Urias in the same off season he dumped Teo, Geno, and Ray. That's not on Stanton being cheap. That's on Jerry making terrible moves that made the team significantly worse despite being allowed to spend quite a hefty sum.

Yeah I’m done with Jerry. If they miss the playoffs this year again there has to be consequences

Oh, and Mitch Garver is the 3rd highest paid player on the team, behind only Castillo and Julio. That's an awfully poor use of the money that Jerry has to work with when he supposedly has constraints due to a cheap owner.

Highest contract, and only multi-year contract, DIPoto has given out with M's. Insane.

The writing is on the wall for Garver with the latest moves. They let Rowdy hit against a lefty last night instead of PHing Garver and moved Blake Hunt earlier in the week. He may not be gone till the deadline, but they are making room for Harry.

Still doesn't make sense to call up Ford to sit behind Cal and play one day a week. He won't develop doing that.

He's great trade material, though. ;)

Yep, exactly. People keep saying it's time to call Ford up, but what are they going to do with him if they do that? Doesn't make any sense to call him up just to sit him on the bench 5 out of every 6 games.

I'm still of the belief Geno and Teo didn't want to stay here

Never got that impression from anything Geno ever said or did. In fact, I got the complete opposite impression. I think Geno was very happy here.

Teo obviously didn't like the ballpark, but I have no doubt he would've re-signed here if Jerry would've wanted him here. He didn't get an offer from the Dodgers until quite late in that off season. The Mariners had plenty of time to make him an offer, they just didn't want him (which was massively idiotic).

1-2 games per week catching giving Cal more rest and 3-4 games at DH. Not like we have a DH holding him back.

I don't think we can afford to give Cal more rest if he can handle his current workload. He's the best catcher in baseball and he's our best player period. We need him out there.

You DH him when Ford is catching. You can't burn him out for the stretch run or you lose your best bat. It is one thing to have a catcher play this much through June but come August it will add up.

Said the same thing myself. He was slightly above average when we got him, and he dropped a bit since. What makes it more painful is we bat him cleanup. Lordy lord lord.
Since DiBozo LOVES platoons so much & is CLEARLY the guy who is obsessed with "handedness", hopefully when they rush Raley back too soon, they'll stop jerking him around & play him everyday vs righties & use Arozarena as his platoon partner vs lefties. Arozarena is average at best. This lineup needs at least one legit bat. Robles won't be back until September & probably not very good at that point.

Yep.

Arozarena 2025:

Vs RH - .208/.372/.369
Vs LH - .242/.299/.403

Maybe, maybe not.

For me, I'm not taking my best player, both offensively and defensively, off the field to give a prospect some playing time. Cal has a huge impact behind the plate as well.

My point is you are not doing it for the kid you are doing it for Cal. Cal cannot keep up this physical pace.
