Who wouldn't want the #1 pass rusher in the NFL as far as sacks are concerned (over the past two seasons)? All in all I just can't see the team paying him what he'd want or satisfying the first round pick requirement that Cinncie would want for the player.

Not the same as the Jamal trade at all. He isn't pushing his way off the team. He plays an actual critically important position that deserves big money for big production and you don't have to wonder how exactly your going to use him.
I would have zero problem parting with a second and giving him a good contract.

football age wise 27 compared to 30 is pretty large. Dropoff can be pretty fast at that age.

anybody know advanced pressure stats etc? Cinci D sucks and their offense was awesome. they are in quite a lot of shootouts. He probably gets a ton of pass rush opportunities. All sacks aren't created equal. I really have no idea, I have never watched Cinci play

He is one the best D ends in the game and it is because of a very powerful bull rush and good hand usage.
He doesn't rely on elite speed. Many D ends are effective in their 30's and he will be good for a few more years most likely.

They’re not willing to let him go…just don’t want to renegotiate his deal.

Cincy owners are ‘cheap’ and historically have been.

He’s the real deal. High motor. Usually double teamed.

I’m not sure I’m worried about his age…IF he goes somewhere else, he’ll be on a warpath.

We’ve had some terrible FA signings over the years…If we somehow landed this guy, I’m confident he’d be worth it.

Seattle Seahawks' D isn't elite, but trade could change that

Reigning NFL sack leader Trey Hendrickson wants out of Cincinnati. Mike Salks feels the Seattle Seahawks should be ready to make a deal.

I would not be keen on the Seahawks signing Hendrickson.

1. He is under contract. It sends the wrong signal rewarding guys that signed a contract but then break his word.
2. It's the equivalent of Buffalo signing Von miller in 2022. How much tread is left on the tire?
3. Spend the money signing our guys; Ken Walker, Abe Lucas, Boye Mafe and Riq Woolin.

I think it’s a lot different than von miller. Von had 9 sacks in ‘21 and 8 in ‘22 before he got injured after 11 games. Hendrickson had 17 1/2 last year. And I agree to sign some of our guys but Hendrickson would be a formidable force on our line.

that wasn't an argument, I was asking for info.

Also, Jared Verse had 4.5 sacks. He doesn't equal Mafe or Hall I guess.
