Nice bounce back win. Touch and go for a while, Tavares comes through with the 2 run dinger.

Love how they kept coming back after losing the lead.

Evans with one bad inning, but came back to shut things down in the 5th/6th and save the pen. Gonna need the pen in Houston this weekend.

7 road series wins in a row. We're like 11-1 in series wins lately.

They said Kirby is pitching tomorrow. (y) :)

Yep. Not sure about anyone else, but I'm not overly impressed with Wilson. At least so far.

He's made it too easy for opposing managers to basically dictate matchups. For example, if they don't want to pitch to Polanco, they don't have to. Just put in a lefty and there's about a 95% chance Wilson will pull Polanco and put in Garver. Same for Tellez. Just put in a lefty and there's a 95% chance Wilson will pull Tellez and put in Solano. I understand that Wilson is just working with what he has, but he's essentially letting opposing managers choose who they want to pitch to and when. He's just a little too locked into some tendencies, which makes it much easier for opposing managers to make decisions in close games, imo.

There's something to be said for playing up to opponents, or down. Team is awful, hundreds in the stands, no juice etc. Yet they played their best all around series of the season at SD. A very good team, especially at home. I suspect they will very much be fired up for the CHEATstros. Wouldn't be surprised at a 2-2 split, but let's get this series!

It's hard to get fired up to play one of the worst teams in the league. I know those are the games they should win, but its like a trap game in football. You should win it, but after coming off a big win sometimes the energy isn't there. Typical of the M's to play down to the competition. Happy they came away with a series win.

He doesn’t have a lot of options

EVERBODY has slumps, It shouldn't need to be said.
It’s funny somebody said this about cooper kupp and his injury history. They said anyone could get injured. Sure anyone can get injured or go in a slump, but some guys have a history that makes it quite a bit different for them than everyone else

They did just sweep the .574 Padres.

That was my point, they came off a big series win in SD and the Whitesox, were in a sense a trap series. Hard to get excited about it and they still came away with a series W.
Yep, I was gonna' lose my mind (again) if they blew that. But.....whatever, win is a win. Ugly wins are still.......wins.
