It's become a big event. One of the things that the NFL has done over the years has been to squeeze every dime possible out of us fans, and although none of this are paying to watch the event, it will attract a large audience, ie advertising revenue. They've done the same thing with the draft and the scouting combine. Events that barely made the sports page a few decades ago are now a big deal. It was all done in an effort to keep the game relevant and in the news year-round.

This year, the full schedule release will occur on Wednesday, May 14th at 5pm PDT. We've known our 2025 opponents since the end of the regular season. At home, we'll face the Cards, Rams, Niners, Texans, Colts, Saints, Bucs, and Vikings. Our 9 road games include the Rams, Niners, Cards, Falcons, Panthers, Jags, Steelers, Titans, and Commanders. What we don't know, and what is set to be revealed next Wednesday, is the specific dates and in some cases, the specific location.

The league is going to trickle out the schedule, allowing the networks to announce their own schedule a day or two, or in the case of CBS and Netflix, a few hours before the full release on Wednesday the 14th at 5pm PDT:

NBC – Monday, May 12 on TODAY Show
FOX – Monday, May 12
Prime Video – Monday, May 12
ESPN – Tuesday, May 13 on Good Morning America
CBS – Wednesday, May 14 on CBS Mornings
Netflix – Wednesday, May 14

The dates/opponents for the international series will be released on Tuesday, May 13th at 5am PDT. I'll be on my 2nd cup of coffee by then.

Additionally, there will be a triple header on Christmas Day, which falls on a Thursday. Netflix will televise the first two games and Amazon televises the nightcap.

Per an LA Sports site:

London
Week 7, Oct 19th. 9am ET
Jags host Rams

I think two other London games are known unofficially as well.

London Games:

Oct. 5th (W5): Vikings at Browns, Tottenham
Oct. 12th (W6): Broncos at Jets, Tottenham
Oct. 19th (W7): Rams at Jaguars, Wembley

Who will open at Eagles on Thursday, September 4th?

Possible: Commanders, Cowboys, Giants, Raiders, Broncos, Bears, Lions, Rams

I think prolly Lions or Rams. They don’t normally do Division games to open.

I treat the schedule release much like I do the draft. Let it happen and read about it later. :)

Although this year, I'll admit I watched more of the draft than I usually do. Mostly in background mode, as there wasn't much else on the tube at the time.

Not a real fan of all the hoopla and hype.

Schedule is OUT!!

I posted a thread on it in the Hawks forum. :)

EDIT : I'm a f*cking idiot. I wasn't aware that May 14 was when the Schedules officially came out. 😞

Where are you getting your information? I can't find anything by doing a search on the subject.

LA sports site. So, suppose I should change to maybe instead of confirmed.

Forgot where I saw the other London games, will look.

LA article:

I love the hoopla! One of my favorite NFL events.

More from LA sports sites: LA Chargers open Week 1 in Brazil v the Chiefs.

Friday night game. Broadcast on YouTube TV (replacing Peacock who broadcast the Brazil game last year). Raiders turned it down, Chiefs accepted.

That’s a crazy one if true.

Thanks for all the info.

I saw that about the Chargers hosting the Chiefs in Brazil. If I were a Chargers fan, I'd be pissed at them turning a home divisional game against the reigning champs into a neutral site game. No wonder the Chargers have one of the wimpiest fan bases in the league.

I just hope Dallas gets a nationally televised game or two. Those poor guys always get the short end of the stick.
Actually, I could care less if we're in Prime Time or not. Afternoon Hawk games work best for my schedule anyway. Let the Cow Pukes have them.

Another thing I'm hearing is that the Week 1 game Chiefs vs. Chargers in Brazil will be televised live exclusively on YouTube, but that it will be for free.

Rather than watching the draft stream, I've taken to watching a few minutes of advertisements on YouTube, everytime the Hawks have a pick. Same Same but Different.

Hey...*PSST*...bud.

The reigning champs are NOT the Chiefs.

The champs are the Eagles. 200
