My condolences to all of you..
I lost my dad shortly after our SB win..He was a Bears fan before
moving out to the Seattle area and got us started on being fans of
the Hawks,Sonics and yes the M's.
He took me to my first game(s) at the Dome..It's in my mind like it
was yesterday and the Sonics at Seattle Center also.
Reading through these,I see we are all not alone as it hurts but we have
great memories.

My Dad passed away August 4th. He was a lifelong Seahawks and Patriots fan. He grew up in Boston, so can't fault him there. He took me out to camps in Cheney whenever he could. Indoctrinated me into Seahawks football. Met several players over the years. By the way, he was pissed about the Seahawks losing to the Patriots in the SB. Good man. I'm going to miss him terribly, especially talking to him after Seahawks games.
I brought him to his first NFL game ever. A Seahawks preseason game against the Colts, Peyton Mannings first appearance in the NFL. I looked over at my Dad as the Seahawks were introduced as a team running on the field, and he was in tears.
Thank you, Dad, for the memories and all you meant to me.

Mad love to all those 12's out there going through the loss of a loved one. My father passed unexpectedly in early February. He loved the "Seachickens" and always let me know how the game was going if I didn't make it in time before kickoff. Glad I got to say goodbye one last time.

Be well brothers and sisters.

Sorry to hear it man, I get it. Mine passed a few years ago, hard to believe it's been 3 years. It's just plain gut wrenching. The connection of sports and our parents can be really strong.

Just passed the 3 year mark with my dad two weeks ago. The 4 year mark with my mom is next week. After my mom died, their pastor told me it takes 3-5 years before the gut wrenching pain disappears. I kind of call bullshit on that time frame. My brother died almost 56 years ago and I can still get teary about him.

My dad passed on December 6. One of my best memories with him is enjoying that crazy Packers NFC Championship game in the stands.
Thats a funny statement since there were only about three minutes worth of game time to actually enjoy, besides the fake field goal.

Totc, sorry to hear about your father.

My condolences.

Sounds like you had a great relationship with him and you both got some Seahawks memories together and got to see a Super Bowl win!

He sounds like a great man!

Rest in peace to your father!
