Just posted this in another thread. I think this is potentially good for the Seahawks side of negotiations, assuming this surgery was as minor as the news reports suggest it was.

Jones definitely isn't going to be able to set the market for LB contracts coming off of any kind of surgery, which I felt like if he tried to get a Fred Warner-esque contract, that could be the bridge Schneider wouldn't be willing to cross.

Doubt it affects his contract much if at all. It's just a wait and see game of what the offers are.

Hmmm. I doubt it was something serious. Hell, Marino had "knee surgery" almost every year. He called it his annual oil change. ;) Even a minor arthroscopic scan is technically knee surgery. If it was something serious we'd have heard about it, and they would have done it as soon as possible, not wait until now. 🤷‍♂️

If it was something serious we'd have heard about it, and they would have done it as soon as possible, not wait until now. 🤷‍♂️
Mark Schlereth was the same he has talked about his numerous surgeries (29 total) with 20 of those on his knees
