I am NOT a fan of drafting WRs in the 1st rd. The value is with linemen good to decent WRs can be found anywhere

I feel the closer a player is to the LOS the bigger the impact the player will have

I still feel JSN was over drafted he is a slot receiver that are common no need to waste a 1st rd pick on one

I've seen all these players mocked to us at #18 by all the major draft sites at least once so far:

Luther Burden III WR
Kelvin Banks Jr. OT
Armand Membou OT
Nick Emmanwori S
Wyatt Milum OT
Tyler Booker OG
Josh Simmons OT
Shemar Stewart EDGE
Colston Loveland TE
Nic Scourton EDGE
Shemar Turner DT
Will Campbell OT
Donovan Jackson OG
Jalon Walker LB
Mykel Williams Edge
Kenneth Grant DL
Malaki Starks S
Emeka Egbuka WR

Heads would explode if we went WR at #18.

You just took the words out of my keyboard.

If we select a WR at 18 instead of an OG or DL/DE I will flip the hell out.

I could see them trying to justify a CB at 18 if they've had enough of Riq. "He was just too good to pass up." 😤 🤮

We do need to add a WR this offseason. There are some intriguing options projected to be available in the mid-first, but for me to take a receiver at 18, he'd have to be the absolute clear best player on the board, and that seems very unlikely.

I don't see it happening, but I'd be ok with it if he is BPA. WR is a need. I can definitely see them go CB with Jahdae Barron. Tyler Booker would be our best option but he very well could be gone and you can get good Guards that fit our scheme day 2 and even day 3.

The 3 I want at 18 are Booker, Barron and Jalon Walker

I was calling for Quinyon Mitchell when our pick came up last year. That would have unquestionably been a better pick than Bustron Murphy.

He would have to be JSN!

I'm not sure how you can call Byron Murphy a bust. That has to be one of the worst takes I've read on this board in a long time. And have you read the board, that's saying something

I had a few players I wanted. Mitchell and Murphy were both I liked. I have no problems with Murphy. That bust word is thrown out too loosely here.

Luther Burden is a dude.

Yeah, but that word fit into his name better than anything else I could think of at the time. Mediocurphy felt like too much of a mouthful.

Everyone has a role. May not be sexy on the stat sheet but Murphy played his role very well, out of position mind you. Murphy was a big reason our run defense was vastly improved. Kick him out to DT and have a true 340 lb NT (Darius Alexander, Toledo, though he’s closer to 305) in the middle that can eat space and you can argue this D becomes elite quickly. Pick Jason Walker in the 1st as well and both those guys make this D elite with what we have. Walker is going to be Micah Parsons and you can move him ALL OVER the field

Unless we are trading DK taking WR in the first makes zero sense

Kubiak has proffessed his love for 2 WR sets
