Who's his GM? Any info on how much control he will have? I believe Las Vegas cleaned out their FO a few weeks ago.

Think or hope?

I hope Pete has success there. Not too much because I really hate the Raiders, but enough to keep his coaching reputation solid.
A little of both? I'm fine with Geno playing out his last year for the current contract but I'm not a fan of signing a longer deal for a guy already 36 when the season starts who isn't an elite guy. Historically just has almost never worked out and no reason to think it will work if we do it.

For sure on Pete, I don't want to see him just taking a job and it ending badly. It's a tough one though because of their current situation so if he can make them competitive it would be massive.

No, your QB Me3 is going back to daddy!
lol it looks like Pittsburg wants him back.

I was just thinking about it though, it would be kind of cool if they did re-unite and just decided together to do what they did early on and prove everyone wrong. I would be rooting for both of them in that scenario for sure. Plus this board would go nuts lol

Now I have to check on the state of the raiders. Very curious......good going Pete. Does he even have a qb?
Not really. They have Minshew and Aidan O'Donnell. Desmond Ridder is an RFA.

The Raiders need skill position talent and defensive depth, but they have decent bones. Their OL isn't bad (hit big on 2 rookies last year) and they have superstars in Bowers and Crosby.

Good news is they have the sixth overall pick and a whole lot of cash for a stopgap at QB if they want a Darnold or Cousins.

Its a really ideal place for a guy who would want to build from the ground up but have some assets already on the team to work with.

The Raiders,,,,LOL. What are you doing? You can't rebuild with a 73 year old coach.

I bet Pete tries to hire Kubiak. Pete always raved about father Shanny and Kubiak is the closest thing he'll get to that right now.

Pete humbled me, I thought he wasn't going to get it after the Raiders hired a GM before reaching a deal with Pete.

It surprised me. I knew he was being interviewed, but I thought they'd go a different direction with Tom Brady being a minority owner and knowing the game and possible list of candidates. In a division going up against Reid, Harbaugh, and Payton, that's a tough task without a franchise QB and a roster with all sorts of holes to fill. As I said in another thread, maybe they got caught up in that musical chairs game and just wanted didn't want to be left standing, or make it look like they were making a desperate move.

Good on him. No surprise that he's a good salesman. Pete and Vegas. He'll bring a buzz to it.
