Loved that interview. I had very little concern about him not coming back before but after that I’d say I’m confident in his return.

I was surprised to hear him say he doesn’t have the defense down yet and was making that an offseason priority. Watching out there between plays moving players into position I was sure he had it nailed. Makes me think that maybe we gave yet to see a lot of Macdonalds defense and that excites me for next year.

MacDonald's defensive scheme is very complex. I remember Raven fans saying it will take 1-2 years before everything starts gelling in that system. I'm not surprised one bit that he doesn't have it down yet, especially since he was added during the regular season.

What is exciting about this is the consistent improvement we saw throughout the season.
