Something I have noticed several years as a Seahawks fan is that at times, opponents don’t seem to reciprocate the respect we give them after a game, win or lose.
Tonight I was watching several Seahawks-related YouTube videos to get my post game fix, and one common theme was how we would mention how good they were, all kinds of compliments, but when you listen to the Patriots, it’s all about what they did wrong.
No mention of the Seahawks being any good and that they may have played any role in their loss.
I watched Mayo’s presser and there was not a single time he mentioned that the Seahawks were a good opponent. Every single thing he said had to do with his team only.
Not really sure why this bugs me but it does. Pete was excellent about praising the opponent in victory and defeat. Geno is fantastic at talking positivity about the opponent win or loss.
Same with Mike, same with most of our guys.
So why is it so hard for other teams to reciprocate?
