Just watched his 3rd pre-season with Vikings. He played into the 3rd quarter, had 2 touchdowns and 4 scoring drives the 1st half. You can tell he has some potential as a backup. Wanted him drafted last year but Vikings took him too early (5th round). Not sure what the Vikings were thinking, originally on the 53 but tried to get him on their practice squad. He chose us instead.

As I recall, Jaren Hall was on the Seahawks 2023 draft board.

Crazy that Howell is 3 years younger than Hall. Even crazier that Zach Wilson is 1 year younger even though both went to BYU, I guess Wilson’s LDS tour was “missionary” with his mom’s friends.

He was cut in favor of Brett Rypien, so that's not super promising, but I'm glad we're using a PS spot on a youngish QB. I thought the Vikings had been high on him, but they barely let him on the field when they were cycling through QBs after Kirk Cousins' injury. I guess that first half against the Packers in week 17 was it for them.

I don't really know much about Hall or his playstyle... perhaps he's an analogue of a player the defensive staff wants the D to get reps against in practice?
