Let's hope home cooking will cure their ills...

Probables:

Fri: TBD vs Logan Gilbert RHP (5-4, 2.71 ERA, 99K)

Sat: TBD vs Bryce Miller RHP (6-6, 3.90 ERA, 85K)

Sun: TBD vs TBD

Been hearing talk of calling up someone, maybe Hancock to cover for Woo and setting us up for the Big 3 to go against Baltimore Tue-Thu.

Manny Acta clueless to send Hanny home there. So lucky catcher dropped the ball.

Logan got Felixed, but, they still managed to grab a win. Plus, the Rangers and Assholes lost.

Logan is clearly the ace of this staff

Hanny is our slowest outfielder, but sending him there was probably the right call. In a low scoring game, sometimes you just have to go for it.

Gilbert with another quality start, too bad he doesn't get credit for the win.

Loved the small ball there at the end. Hell, nobody is hitting. Might as well lay down some bunts. :)

Gutted out another tough win against a rival in the standings. Both Texas teams take a loss. I'll take it.

My only criticism is having Raley sacrifice in the 9th instead of swinging away. Our offense isn't reliable enough to give up outs.

That and MVP of the team. He has done nothing but get better every year.

And the bleeding has temporarily stopped. Back to a 5 1/2 game lead.
Which is why you do everything you can to keep him happy and try to re-sign him

Moving a runner into scoring position is old school... and not popular with everybody these days... but it definitely serves a purpose when executed properly.

It's pre-designated hitter in the American League... and more like the National League in my lifetime. And I've been watching MLB for the past 65 years.

The 2024 Mariners are similar to the early 60's LA Dodgers... great defense, solid speed on the bases and one of the best pitching staffs in the league. Lots of one-run games and most every game is low scoring.

But when you're not getting any hits, which we weren't, you move runners around any way you can. By getting the ghost runner to 3rd, we won the game on a swinging bunt by Cal Raleigh. 🤷‍♂️

Those bunts were awesome, I'd have done a third (Suicide squeeze)
looks like Ds of today cannot handle bunts well at all.

Garver drives me nuts. He won’t swing at pitches in the
middle of the plate. He also won’t swing at the first pitch,
so they throw it over the plate.

Sub .200 hitters in the 3 and 4 spots. Polanco .167 OBP (lol) since coming back.
The offense was better with Locklear, Moore/Canzone, and Bliss. But this franchise doesn't care because Polanco needs to earn that money via playing minutes or else it will look like a wasted signing. It's self destructing.

Dipoto should be fired for what he did in the off season. He made this offense significantly worse, and they weren't very good to begin with.

Only if it meant Scotty, Acta, and DeHart go too.

When your team would be better with a bunch of AAA players than the guys you acquired to replace Teo, Geno, and Kelenic, you done f@cked up. You f@cked up bad. That's 100% on Dipoto. The off season was a dumpster fire of epic proportions. It's actually shocking how much worse this past off season made this offense.

Funny thing is though, if we get two out of three from the Twins at home, it's kind of what you would have taken going into this series knowing what we do about our order.

Party on Garth...
