i don't think lynch has done a bad job overall. but that doesn't negate the fact he's made some poor choices. he recently threw away (4) 1sts and a 3rd on busts like trey lance on javon kinlaw...

1) We don't know about Lance or Kinlaw yet. Kinlaw concerns me most because he can't keep that knee healthy, but when he's played he's played well. Any commentary on Lance is way premature. I mean hell, your own 32 year old QB was written off as a bust by several teams with ALOT more starts than Lance has had. Jeez. "Bust" after 4 NFL starts. Wow.

who's "we"? by "we", do you mean you? i'm 99% certain trey is a bust. unless lance plays at an all pro level the remainder of his contract or he leads 49ers to a superbowl victory, he ain't living up to (3) 1sts + a 3rd anyway. that's the capital you pay for an established top 5 qb. and kinlaw? please. already a total bust.

who exactly are lynch and york trying to convince? why all the sales pitches? why are they adamant about pumping up trey lance in the media despite already naming purdy as "the guy"? with purdy's injury, shouldn't trey lance have an opening to be "the guy"?

the answer is that even after only 4 trey lance starts, they realized trey lance is nothing more than an emergency backup. he's a 1 read QB with bad mechanics, mediocre athleticism, poor recognition, and slow processing. they gambled, and lost. now it's about cutting losses and recouping capital after the huge mistake of spending the 3 1sts and a 3rd drafting the guy. because right now drafting trey lance has been a net total loss. he's on pace to be the biggest bust in history. york and lynch want to get rid of the stank. the trey lance situation is drawing lots of critisism. york and lynch are out there trying to maximize what they can get in return. since they're listening to offers, they hope somebody swoops in with a 2nd/3rd rounder to take this mess off their hands. they may have to settle for less. they want to bury trey and forget it happened and move on without him. and maybe that's the smart move.

The QB room is looking pretty good for the 49ers going forwards. Which, I imagine, is why some of you are trolling Lance so desperately.

It makes sense as to why the Niners coughed up all those picks for Lance. Because their hit rate in the 1st round alone is very low under Lynch/Shanahan.

It's really impressive that they've missed so often & yet the roster isn't a complete mess.

The Hawks went through a dry spell themselves. But these last two drafts are setting them up for success. The wins will follow.
