You know I will. Opportunities for game changing D lineman and linebackers available and they pick a position of strength with future star Dee Eskridge and Dareke Young vying for that 3rd receiver spot? Color me unimpressed if he plays anything less than Jerry Rice in his prime
In an attempt to be objective, it's going to be hard for Eskridge to get many opportunities barring injury. The team seems very high on Dareke Young, And Smith-Njigba is the de-facto slot.

Eskridge's safest path to contributing, or to a roster spot at all, might be special teams. As a punt returner/gunner.

I'm on record as saying I'd have rather kept Bo Melton on the roster last year, and I'd love to be proven foolish.

You're not supposed to drink the bong water. Then again, hopefully Jer is on point. Never can have too many good WR's.

Drafting a 25 year old receiver in the 2nd round with that scrub Creed Humphrey sitting there was a great decision.

Alright in all honesty I'm joking. JSN should be awesome in this offense and has the potential to be a breakout star, giving DK and Lockett more opportunities as well. Can't wait to see it.

No offense to angry Doug, but Njigba's ceiling is WAY higher.
Doug Baldwin was a master of the "clean release" at the line of scrimmage. One of the best to ever do it, and because of it, an extremely reliable 3rd down chain mover. Virtually uncoverable on ten-yard patterns. An Antonio Brown level of release at the line of scrimmage. He didn't have nearly the YAC elusiveness of AB after the catch, but probably better hands as well. No offense, but JSN's ceiling is not WAY higher. Probably more like moderately higher due to his catch radius being bigger, but JSN is far from actually proving it on the field yet. This less of a knock against JSN and more about giving proper due to Doug Baldwin.

This dude is already massively better than Doug Baldwin could even dream of being. His hands are like fly paper and his routes are about as clean and effortless as it gets

Im happy about the pick but Doug Baldwin made some crazy plays in actual games. Lets wait to see how he performs during real games.

Well it’s certainly a product of the overall outlook we have.
I’d say we all are generally pretty optimistic and happy.

WTF, are you talking about Medic?

It’s easy to figure out.
When we are down and pessimistic we argue about “fire Pete”.

We’re arguing now about steal/not a steal. Lol

See my signature!
Nailed it...people will sometimes take various talking point angles based on their perspective...but the comments are often the frustration of having no control over something you enjoy watching...or if you're lucky enough...attending

Conversation overheard at Seahawks' predraft meeting this year:

PC: We suck so bad at picking defensive linemen, we're not going to pick any this year, at least not in the first round.

Scout 1: But Jalen Carter!

PC: No! Weren't you the same guy who wanted us to pick LJ Collier?

Scout 2: But what about Calijah Kancey at number 20?

PC: Didn't you push for Malik McDowell in 2017?

Scout 2: Yes, but . . .

JS: No, you suck! We're flipping the script, only DBs and offensive weapons in the first round.
Funny take...Malik was a tragic loss (Anybody play Madden the year Malik was included as a rookie? He was a game wrecker...coulda...woulda...didn't. Jarran Reed was first round talent when we were able to draft him in the 2nd.

As for our 2023 first round draft selections...in the top round we addressed becoming relevant in the modern NFL...the passing game.

We hired the coaching to get their best talent playing at a high level...Passing attack (WR Coach Sanjay Lal)...Passing defense (Karl Scott)...and Pass Rush Specialist Coach (BT Jordan)

The strongest elements for passing? A young improving O-line...a QB who plays very well within the structure of our Offensive Coordinator...three WR who demand the attention of a teams shutdown corner (if an opponent even has one)...a running game respected enough to draw the box safety away from playing in two high shell coverage.

Defending a strong passing opponent...a young strong secondary with high upside and a rotation of pass rushers from both the interior and outside...keep an eye on Derick Hall...and welcome to the Hawks Dre'Mont Jones.

Don't disagree at all. I think JSN will be next level good over ADB.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is an elevated blend from our recent past...the quick "release" of Doug Baldwin...the acrobatic body control of Jermaine Kearse...and the "don't sleep on me" explosion of a David Moore. *Geno smiling*

Lining up Lockett and JSN on the same side and your opponent is going to put their "best man" on DK??
Noah Fant will enjoy being the "invisible" man...kinda like Freddie Swain at times.

Don’t be dissin’ no ADB now. That man was freaking fabulous.
Yeah he was overall as a receiver but JSN has the ability to be so much more. His body control in the air and his ability to haul in passes with one mitt are impressive.
