Would have made sense to switch the AZ and SF away games. SEA v SF may have playoff implications week 18, instead we play them twice in three weeks in the middle of the season.

I am so hyped.
My boys and I were going to New York for a football game the weekend of 10/01 and 10/02. (My first game in America).
And now the Seahawks are playing the Giants that weekend.
And in addition, the night before, the Jets are also playing against the Chiefs.
My first two Games in America are SNF Chiefs at Jets and MNF Seahawks at Giants.

GO HAWKS! :)

Detroit are going to be tougher than people are assuming, they ended last season 8-2 and are having a good off season. While I hate the early bye it does improve our chances against the Bengals. @49ers is also off a long week but that is still going to be tough.
In my book their are 7 games we are outsiders for (det, cin, bal, dal, phi, sf x2) and 9 we should be favourites with the Giants game is a toss up.

Ridiculous how Cowboys get 7 phuccing Prime Time games. 3 SNF, 2 MNF, and 2 TNF including Thanksgiving.

The Cowboys have easily the largest fan base in the NFL. Putting them in a lot of prime-time games is just good business. I've disliked the Cowboys since before the Seahawks existed (except for a brief period in the '90s when they were the best chance for somebody to beat the Gold Diggers, so I tolerated them), but I can't find anything wrong with the decision to put the Cowboys on national TV a lot.

The interesting one is that the Seahawks have a larger fan base than the Giants, and the Giants, as has been observed in this thread by @James in PA, have more prime-time games in the first six weeks than the Seahawks have in the entire season.

I've not done analysis but are TNF and MNF games too early for decent viewing figures on the west coast at least for the first half. I would imagine viewing figures are pretty low on the west coast at 5:20 because so many people are still at work / commuting.

Personnally living in the UK I like the lack of "prime time" games for me as they start at 1:20am.

I’m ok with the schedule. It’s far from perfect but we have had much worse. I know the players don’t like TNF but if you play 2in the same season I’d much rather they be back to back. At least this way we only have the one short week because of it.

Personally I’m not a huge fan of us playing on thanksgiving because I do most of the cooking but at least it’s a late game so I should be done cooking and be ready to eat.

Larger Market Syndrome.

Three games in 12 days with two of those being on the road is just BS

Once again we travel more then anyone including the teams that go to Europe

Four good things about the schedule: (1) No international game, (2) We get the bye following a Monday night game, (3) The second Thursday night game happens the week after a Thursday night game, and (4) We play the 49ers after a Thursday game. Just looking for that silver lining.

This year it's unavoidable.

We play the NFCE and the AFCN. Seven out of those eight teams are in the Eastern Time Zone, with the only exception being DAL.

And we also play the Lions, the Titans and the Panthers... all of which are also in the Eastern Time Zone. Thankfully, we get the Panthers at home but the other two are away games.

For Husky/Hawk fans with the time & money, the Dawgs at Michigan State on Sept 16 & Hawks at Lions on Sept. 17 seems like it’d be quite tempting.

Side note: our strength of schedule (12th) is the same as the Broncos, so there will be lots of opportunity to make unsupported comparisons on RW, the RW trade, and other .net favorites!

You struck it rich. Here's hoping we can win that one on MNF.

I say they win 9-10 games. I base that not looking at the schedule but on the average of 9.8 wins per season since PC has been the coach. Consistency in statistics. The range has been a low of 7 with a high of 13. In his Seahawks tenure, he has reached double digit wins in 8 out of 13 seasons.

Tough schedule. 9-10 wins, wildcard team again, unless Geno and our D takes it up a few notches. Hope I'm wrong.
