Welcome to irrelevancy Giants, he isn't all that, Jets will be the headline marquees in NY for a while now.

The Giants have no choice but to re-sign him. They made it to the playoffs and can't draft the QB's that are most promising.

It's so amusing seeing SEA and NY over pay for QB's. They just don't get it lol.

25m a year for a probowl QB that was the comeback player of the year? is an overpay? guy that broke wilson records last year? no i don't get it.

grant us thy wisdom, and lead us to the promised land.
I wanted Geno to return but Seahawks have very little wiggle room now, and I've seen nothing from Daniel Jones yet. There's 3-4 elite QBs in the league right now and a big gap from the rest.

his first year cap hit is expected to be 15m next year. not exactly earth-shattering. they have room to make some moves in FA.

look at this as a 2 year deal, 3 years if needed. they have an easy out after 2 seasons. hell, they can move on after this next season. a rookie won't give them the best chance to win next year. stroud is easily the closest of the 4 thats ready. and he won't be there at 5. so what did you want them to do? trade all our draft capital to move up and take stroud and pray he's better than geno, a probowl QB? or tank for next years #1 pick?

this is a good-great deal for the seahawks. take your blinders off.

Shoot, I'm still on the fence about Geno. But come on, this turned out to be a hell of a deal for both sides. Geno is the best option for this team right now.
They got it right. Broke records in 17 GAMES. But still, he balled out. He proved many of us wrong, and his teammates love the guy.
And YES, I was pissed last night, until I actually saw the REAL numbers. Just sayin.

people should realize we have like 15 mill more cap space for this year by the geno contract as opposed to tagging him. Plus the fact that IF he makes his incentive money it’s because he’s performing well. Such a win /win for the Seahawks. Plus i honestly think we have the ability to walk away from geno after 2 years if we want.

How can anyone not like this Geno contract? You're going to be even happier with it when you see what Jimmy G signs for.

The timing was excellent. Getting him signed before the market reset with all the shuffling was a stroke of luck or genius on the Hawks part.
