Praying for him!!! Amazing what these guys bodies go through.

It was a hard hit but, we’ve all seen players walk away from stuff that looked much worse.

The force of the impact….to be concentrated where it was….

Intubation is something that gets done in almost every cardiac arrest situation.

As far as waiting for his mother it’s hard to say.
Could mean they considered him stable, might mean they considered efforts futile.
It’s just really hard to speculate on that aspect.
The latter was my worry.

I have no idea what point you're trying to make & I don't care.

You seemed to take some umbrage that ESPN was telling us information that was pretty obvious & I was simply pointing out that saying he's in critical condition is better than saying he's not deceased which is the only other thing they could possibly say.
Slow down man.

I was by no means coming at you on a personal level.
Simply trying to provide I bit of information for those that have questions.

I would not expect ESPN or the NFL to say anything other than that at this point in time.
It surely would not be appropriate to announce death before family was notified, even if that were the case.

Again nothing I said was directed at you in a negative light.

Did anyone here actually see the hit that Hamlin was involved with.

Commotio Cordis generally takes a very well place hit where the energy is focused in a tight area (much like 90 mph baseball).

It was a big hit right to the chest.

Think they should just call this game a draw.. no one wants to play this.. tomorrow, or next week.

This happened to Chris Pronger in the NHL.
He made a full recovery & played several seasons after so hopefully this is what happened.
Saw it happen to a former co worker as well and he was fine...but who knows if its the same at this point.

He's had some experience with this that's all. I don't think he's casting any aspersion at you or anyone. We're all hopeful.
