He misjudged the line, it happens..

Choosing between him playing another 3 years and retiring after this season, I'll continue to accept him going down early. Remember he's had some pretty bad injuries.

Tyler has earned the right to protect his body once in awhile. I certainly would have liked that first down but not at the expense of losing a top WR.
