Are the Ms finally starting to come around, or are they merely warming up the Vitamix with which to pulverize the hope of their fans? Looking ahead, we have six games vs Astros in July and six games vs Yankees in August. Granted, we still have other tough teams to face the rest of this summer, but if Ms manage to win 8 or 9 of those 12, we're talking the Astros and the Yankees here, that just might give us permission to have a bit of hope in the team once again.

Right now, I'm hoping we can dish out some revenge on the Angels this weekend. Probably no Ty France, though, which would make it tougher.

M's staring pitchers have given up 2 earned runs or fewer in the last 12 straight games. When's the last time that happened?

M's trade for Carlos Santana from the Royals. He's no where near the hitter he used to be. Clearly just a depth move to try and keep within striking distance with so many players being out (injuries + looming suspensions). Who knows though, maybe you catch lightning in a bottle and he carries you through a couple of weeks to a month and keeps you in the hunt.

I haven't been following Santana, but if he's not the hitter he used to be, was his batting average once well over .357? That happens to be his June average so far this year, though maybe he's just having a crazy good June helped with a bit of luck -- I don't know.

I hope that fight sparks a mad win streak..I'd rather have Santana
hitting than Toro.

He's hitting 216 this year with a 690 OPS.

He hit 214 all of last year with a 661 OPS.

That's a far cry from his 281 avg and 912 OPS in 2019

I was pretty disappointed with the entire fight. It was pretty clear that something was gonna happen the next day when Trout nearly got beaned in the head and he voiced his opinion about it afterwards. I thought Servais and the umpires should have been better prepared.

We can’t afford to lose bats at the moment. Not when we dug ourselves into a hole early. Notice how Trout wasn’t anywhere near the brawl, they basically sent there scrubs in to do thr dirt, while we were stuck with our star players fighting.

Not going to go into the Angels side, but Nevin clearly should take most the blame.

Somehow 3.5 games back of the WC now. If they take 3 out of 4 or sweep Toronto they'll be in. Pitching has been elite tier, and the bottom of the line up is hitting. Haggerdy batting .300 in 20 games for us so far. Keep playing him he's hot.

So apparently, the name of the MLB team's city has to have two words before said team can be successful. You know, New York (Yankees), New York (Mets), San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles (Dodgers), St. Louis, and Tampa Bay. Except for TB, they're all at or near the top of their divisions. KC and Los Angeles (Angels) are the only outliers. Just a little weird, is all. So if Seattle can stay ahead of the LA Angels for the rest of the season, maybe that'll be a good thing.

I'd like to apologize for calling this team a pathetic joke numerous times and saying Scottie should be fired. I shall now withhold my judgment until the end of the season. If they collapse again they are a pathetic joke. But this run back towards .500 has been admirable. Scottie has earned himself some more time.

We'll just have to see if winning most series, as we have the last five, is sustainable here on out. Blue Jays will be a good test and I would be happy with a 2-2 split. The big test will be the 7 games we play vs Astros between 7/22 and 7/31, and then the 6 games vs Yankees during the first half of August. Not a big deal if we win only about a third of those games as long as we win most series vs other teams in July, August, and September.

The schedule is light in August and September overall. They are 3.5 back. Just keep sawing wood.

And ONE game under .500
12-3 in the last 15 games. Minus a lot of good players. I'm not a servais fan at all, but credit where it's due these last couple weeks.
