I suspect these contract expectations and the prior acrimonious last negotiations with Wilson's agent had a great deal to do with the underlying reasons for the team trading Wilson.

Frankly he's just not worth what he is asking to receive. I don't care how good he used to be there needs to be money spent on both sides of the ball and $50 mil/yr. guaranteed to one player doesn't allow that to happen easily or at all.

The whole league is going to have to rationalize these QB salaries or face a situation where franchise QBs will be moved around a good bit making their teams less competitive long term with their contract expectations.

that WR at best same as seahawks

Some person here will believe he is worth it but in all accounts, the QB is roughly 1/3 of game planning.

You still need to be effective on runs and defense.

As long as PC is head coach, PC does not need a $50M QB, who has obvious flaws and isn’t a great team leader by any means either.

Not all rumors are true but not all rumors are unmerited either.

Remember when Wilson said he wanted to play for Seattle his entire career? What happened to those dreams?

100 percent. Gonna be tough to win when one guy eats up 50 mill per year. They make the playoffs but they will never win a super bowl...which is good news for the seahawks. I think we can all say the shit he was saying was just that..bs. No different from any other player I guess but he is very much on the Aaron Rodgers side of the spectrum.
