Yes, at least for a while. It was after they banned him from boxing. Not sure if he ever rescinded or not.

Never rescinded. It's what killed him. He stopped getting treatment and was in denial about being HIV positive.

Yes John Wayne was his great uncle. At least that's what I've heard over the years. Actually if you dig into it a bit. There are people with the name Morrison that say Tommy was not a relation to Marion Michael Morrison. Who knows what the truth is. Not sure any of it really matters, but kind of interesting.
